Teranorth Construction & Engineering Limited is seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and timely transport of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction sites, ensuring adherence to industry safety standards and company policies.
Note: this position is applicable for the OE793 union and the included benefits (health, dental, retirement, etc).
Daily responsibilities:
- Operate AZ-class vehicles safely and efficiently in a construction environment
- Perform mandatory pre and post vehicle inspections and document through Sitedocs app.
- Constantly monitor vehicle fitness, load security and ever-changing conditions for safety
- Take direction and communicate effectively with site supervisors, and crew members
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork as per company policies
- Secure all loads, material and equipment properly and safely
- Keep interior and exterior of truck clean
- Loading heavy equipment (example: 336 Excavator, 980 Loaders, 770 rock trucks, etc.)
- Perform other related duties as required
- We are not a broker, we service Teranorth contracts/job sites only
- Follow all company and regulatory transportation policies
Work Location Requirement:
- This position requires out-of-town travel to Teranorth job sites across North Ontario
- Board allowances are available for out of town travel.
Requirements:
- Must have AZ license (minimum)
- Must have at least 3 years verifiable driving experience with a clean record (for insurance purposes)
- Ability to navigate and use software as needed, such as SiteDocs
- Construction related driving preferred
