Job Purpose:
Joining the Viking-Cives family you will have pride working within our fast-paced installation shop, installing snow & ice removal products, mechanical equipment, dump bodies, etc., on standard and customized heavy commercial trucks. (Personal tools required).
Job Duties:
Mechanical installation such as dump bodies, snowplows, spreaders, etc. on heavy commercial trucks.
Proficient and experience working with, hydraulic systems, fluid power, pneumatic, mechanical/electrical systems, automated controls, fabrication, and out of position welding.
Read/interpret drawings and routings as it relates to the product being manufactured with the use of materials.
Produce quality product in a safe manner while focusing on given standards.
Handle heavy materials manually or with overhead cranes.
Maintain traceable requirements by completing required documentation.
Comfortable using air/electric tools, shop measuring tools & cutting equipment, to cut stock tubing, angle iron, channel iron, flat bar, etc.
Maintain daily cleanliness of work area.
Adhere to all safety practices and report any unsafe conditions, broken or malfunctioning equipment.
Skills/Qualifications:
General welding experience.
Detail oriented with good organizational skills.
Basic mathematical skills.
Hands-on experience working with heavy-duty commercial vehicle equipment and accessories.
Read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, hydraulic pumps, equipment, valves, and 12V electrical circuits.
Flexible, dedicated, motivated, challenge seeker, results driven.
Ability to work with others and independently.
Hands-on experience working with heavy-duty commercial truck equipment and accessories preferred.
Education/Experience:
Mechanical/installation experience/knowledge preferred.
