We're offering a unique growth path: start as a Pet Care Associate (Independent Contractor) with Jupako Pet, and as you develop your skills and our partnership grows, transition into a Part-Time or Full-Time Store Associate position with PawsNatural — our retail and grooming storefront serving the GTA.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to grow from hands-on animal care into a stable, structured retail role, gaining experience across dog walking, boarding, daycare, customer service, retail sales, and grooming along the way.
Phase 1: Pet Care Associate (Independent Contractor) – Jupako Pet
What You'll Do
Provide exceptional care for dogs and cats
Dog walking in clients' neighborhoods
Dog and cat boarding at our facility
Daycare supervision
Feeding, administering basic care, and monitoring pet health
In-home dog/cat feeding visits
Cleaning and maintaining a safe, hygienic environment
Communicate professionally with pet owners
Grooming experience is a asset (not required)

Comfortable handling pets of various sizes and temperaments
Able to work independently
Must have or be willing to create and maintain an active Rover profile (preferred)
Grooming experience is considered a strong asset
Compensation: Independent Contractor position, commission-based pay. Earnings are based on completed services and can grow with your client base, whether clients come through Jupako Pet or your own Rover profile.
Phase 2: Store Associate (Part-Time / Full-Time) – PawsNatural
As you build a track record with Jupako Pet, top-performing associates will have the opportunity to move into a paid, part-time or full-time Store Associate role at PawsNatural, our premium pet products and grooming storefront.
What You'll Do
Greet and assist customers with their pets, providing personalized product recommendations (dry/wet food, treats, supplements, and other natural items)
Process purchases, returns, and exchanges accurately
Restock shelves, maintain merchandising displays, and monitor stock levels
Assist with receiving, pricing, and storing shipments
Maintain store cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety standards
Assist with store opening and closing procedures
Inform customers about promotions and contribute to sales targets
Learn product lines and stay current on pet nutrition trends
Assist with pet grooming and pet care as needed
Work closely with the team, including weekly meetings and team-building activities
Be available for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends
Ideal Candidates
Strong customer service skills with a focus on repeat, positive shopping experiences
Clear, professional communication with customers, team members, and the pet community
Retail sales experience, including point-of-sale operations and basic cash handling, is an asset
Basic store organization and merchandising skills
Interest in pet health, nutrition, and holistic care
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
Reliability, punctuality, and flexibility with scheduling
