Black Rock Oceanfront Resort in Ucluelet, BC is hiring a Cook 1 to join our year-round culinary team.

We’re looking for someone with solid kitchen experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and shows up with purpose. Whether you’re here to build your skills, contribute to a strong team, or take pride in delivering great food every day, we value people who are reliable, motivated, and ready to put in the work.

This is a great fit for someone who:

Has 2 to 3 years of professional kitchen experience
Works well under pressure and stays focused during service
Has flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Is passionate about cooking and being part of a kitchen team
Is ambitious, goal-oriented, and committed to learning
Brings a strong work ethic and a positive, team-first attitude

In this role, you will:

Prepare and plate dishes efficiently and consistently, following established standards
Support smooth kitchen operations and communicate effectively with the team
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in your work area
Store, label, and rotate food properly to minimize waste
Assist with inventory and kitchen organization
Follow all food safety and workplace safety standards
Contribute to a respectful and collaborative work environment
