Terrible supervisor &manager,one supervisor was seriously forgetful
at work, almost dementia 
and she was coercive and inconsiderate,

Manager was also heartless and unfair and unkind
the management is dishonest, the work conditions are depressing, 

Take advantage of their employees and then fire them for no reason 
Management will pressure you 
Management don't really care about employees its all about achieving targets
and because of all that moral at work is low. Find somewhere else to work.

Anything can happen at Air North from odd-sized special cargo headed north, ad-hoc medical charters, to flying a CFL team. Air north really does it all, while having great customer service. You don't just feel like a number at Air North and if you want your ideas heard, management is pretty accessible. The President and CEO flies regularly scheduled flights and sees the operation first hand, and likes to check up on the team. It's nice to have the accessibility with the C level executives, even if you are just an entry-level employee.

Typical day on the ramp involves periods of heavy lifting and rushing for deadlines, followed by roughly equal periods of down time.  Ramp workers work outside in all weather (except thunderstorms), so you can expect heat, cold, and (in Vancouver especially) wet.  Avoid this job if you have a bad back.

This company has better-than-average training, and is improving their training system by developing organized classes for new employees.

The reservations office was a wonderful office to work in.  Just the right size and the people become your second family.  

Exceptional customer service is the main focus and the employees are rewarded for going above and beyond. 

The management is very understanding regarding family or personal issues.

When living in Whitehorse, you hear that Air North is one of the best places to work.  They're right!

The flight kitchen which us constantly hiring is run by a pretend chef with industrial cooking experience 
The food is mediocre and full of sugar
The recipes are industrial factory line food
The manager of the kitchen has more ideas then ways to implement then and a weak leader as hes always stressed and confused

Such a good employer. Every day brought something new and exciting. Not a 9-5 job. It allowed me to have some great experiences that I never would have been able to have otherwise. If you enjoy talking with people and engaging in conversation with the added benefit of travel then this is the place to work.

You never really know what to expect on any given day, but thats just life at the airport. I started as a ramp agent and made it to a Duty Manager in less then two years. It is a young and fun team, definitely disorganized. Learned a lot about time management and had to have good problem solving skills.

Don't expect to laze around. The company has plenty of advancement opportunities if you work hard and show potential. Management style is hands on (CEO frequently comes around to say hello). Great coworkers, team environment.

As a former Flight Attendant i loved every single day working with Air North. 
Every day was different and exciting, being able to work 30,000ft in the air was a dream.
From the management team to the In-Flight crew i felt supported and encouraged in every aspect of my job and my life.
Loved it!
