A typical day at  Bayview is relaxing while performing set down, watering, cleaning and order gathering because we are allow us to listen to music while we perform growing and sales order duties ; also while performing duties all team members work as a team to get all  duties done and processed in a timely manner and the hardest part of the job is getting late order requests processed in a specified time; the most enjoyable part of the job is getting late sales orders processed in time and timely orders processed on time;  after processing late orders , Mgmt frequently provides employee appreciation lunches and has Christmas dinners to celebrate all the achievements  




 the hours you are demanded to work are to long especially for the pay. Some of the people are nice but not everyone  Management needs some work there is a lot of disconnect between management and the floor and there is too many people that will come out from the office and tell you what to do and are completely wrong. Not the safest place to work especially when  you work in shipping and receiving people come through walking anywhere they want looking at there phone. As a forklift driver it's  Maddening because if you hit anyone it's your fault and you have to live with that all in all its an OK place to work definitely wouldn't want to make it a career 

A typical day at work involved drilling holes into roughly 3000 pine cones per day, with every other day spent gluing sticks into said holes.

I felt like I was micromanaged, but the management and co-workers there were kind and welcoming. There was free coffee in the break room which was the only thing that kept me going.

The hardest part of the job was keeping count of all of those pine cones, with shoulder pain being a close second.

The most enjoyable part of the job was that I was allowed to chat with one of my co-workers who was doing the exact same thing. However this affected productivity so we were separated, which is fair.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Paid well, coworkers are super nice. Clean, updated office environment. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Tight deadlines with little support from management. Stressful unclear training process.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Mostly positive. Ownership is super nice and very down to earth.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Clear morning routine but can be hard to focus with the constant distractions from coworkers, work space is too open

Co workers are good to work with. Limited interaction as most only spoke Spanish. My supervisor was unorganized and ill prepared. Poor communicator. Liked to get upset and swear a lot. Equipment was in a miserable state of broken disrepair. I had to fix something before I used it. The owners seemed good. They were friendly and amiable. Greenhouse was old and broken down. Little maintenance had been done in past years. The structure’s bracing was either missing or broken. Nobody seemed to notice or care that the building could fall over. They would sometimes ‘forget’ to pay me for work done

Bayview is a fast paced and long hours company.  The people there were some of the nicest people I've met. Management works with you and not against you. Just be forewarned that from October to June you'll practically be living there. The pay is fair, mainly because you work so many hours but I found that if they upped the pay an extra $1.50 then you'd be quite happy.

I have not worked at Bayview Flowers for a long period of time, but I believe that I have gotten a good understanding of the workplace and it's culture. All of the staff are great,  they are knowledgeable, kind, and willing to train you and share their knowledge. I have already learned a great deal from them. The work itself is meaningful, and I always get a feeling of accomplishment in my work.

Though the schedule is a bit of a shock compared to other jobs in the IT industry, I quickly understood exactly why 8-5 is the normal business day.  The flower industry is fast paced and full of challenges that keep you on your toes.  There was no shortage of opportunities that I could apply my skills or new technologies to that would have a positive impact on the business. 

This was a good position where many tasks were performed alone. Mostly keeping track of various plant/flower orders that are completed everyday. Give the go ahead to send the product to the back where it is processed and shipped. Learned to keep track of orders with minimal guidance. Management was nice and most co-workers were friendly.

Horrible place to work.  Employees who take advantage of salary with excessive time off.  Employees allowed to meddle in others job functions with no discipline
