My first shift with Bartendo was at a private residence. I was supposed to be a bar back for a senior bartender. Twenty minutes before my shift started she just called in sick, and the company did not provide any assistance from the management. 

I had zero experience in bartending and I was stuck with 20+ people in a house, tapping kegs for the first time. YouTube was better help than Bartendo.

I worked a few more shifts after that, and each shift was as disappointing. It’s a very disorganized place, only good for if you want to make a quick extra cash.

Have worked with them for over 3 years in the Vancouver area. They always have amazing clients to work for. From private home events to high end hotel chains and weddings. Incredibly professional conduct of hiring and onboarding, really enjoy working with like minded and experienced bartenders and servers.

The team members were all professionals who were passionate about their work and dedicated to making each event a success. Allowed me to develop my communication and customer service skills as I was constantly interacting with clients and guests. I appreciated the flexibility of the job, which allowed me to choose the events I wanted to work at and provided me with a good work-life balance.


It started off as a great way to make some extra money on the side but quickly went downhill under the management of a family whose only concern was making as much money as possible by disregarding their employees. Payment is delivered through e-transfer which was unreliable at best.

I worked as a server but I has no tip.
No parking lot for downtown Vancouver event.
The location of events sometime not bus friendly.
15m break for 7hours working.
No staff meal.
No microwave even you bring your own food.
No place for taking break or having dinner.
A team did not care for new staffs. 



I really enjoy working with Bartendo in comparison to other staffing companies in Toronto. Awesome team and really flexible shifts. Would like to develop my skills and work more bartending shifts :)

work on your own schedule, pick up shifts when you are available. Good management and easy to communicate. Meet new people and interact with different kinds of people. Working different events and parties.

The management is always very thorough and organized. Other staff is generally in an upbeat mood. You're kept busy and get to meet lots of people! On the other side, it's not very consistent.

Not worth working for these guys, my shifts get cancelled last minute. Found out that they cancelled my shift for other bartenders to take. They favour their friends and family instead of actually building a team.

Great company to work for and you'll work with some amazing people as well. The owners are also friendly, understanding and do their best to make sure staff are comfortable in their working environments.
