Battle River School Division

worked there for many years just in the last 8 years it has gone from a good place to managers hiring manager friends. corruption and  lies to protect each other bullying and harassment unbearable.they use company/ public money and layers to remove the so called problem employees or they will make it bad enough on you to quit does not mater if you are a teacher, teacher aide,contractor,maintenance worker , transportation worker or bus driver  each area has there problems with managers .There is no accountability of upper office  they do what they please there just there to top up there pensions with outrages high paying jobs.In our case H R department did not do anything they passed us on the the assistant superintendent of finance to deal with us hard to believe  an accountant has the skills to deal with the problems  that H R should be looking after. Hard to believe with all the policies against bullying this division has   the biggest bullies  are in the management guess rules do not apply to them they just fabricate the truth into lies to 
  destroy the workers who complain about it

The experience working with  Battle River School Division  provided a variety of Speech-Language experiences with children. I really enjoyed working with the students , Educational Staff , involved parents and administrators. The most enjoyable part of the job was working directly with the child and the parents .  The hardest part  of the job  was  not having  more sessions with the children.  What I learned was not all positions can be long term but enjoy the time you have with the students and you will make a difference in the life of a child.

Data driven educational professional development, in alignment with the top educational systems available today.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The work was what is expected of any teacher in Alberta and actually less stressful as it was data driven and we were not asked to teach curriculum or use  resources that were not deemed satisfactory for the students.

Friendly, great people to work with.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Normal teaching career, planning ahead keeps things smooth and stressfree.

The staff was very supportive and caring

There was no stress. The children were very easy to work with

Very supportive and caring. We had some good laughes

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
8:30 to 3:10 work with children in grade 2, 4, and work with 2 young ladies helping them to learn English

I enjoyed my position with the Battle River School Divison. I would work there again and would recommend work with the company as well. I loved that they are family oriented and when needed they were very flexible with hours to meet family needs. It is like being part of a family there. It was a great to work there and be able to learn about the education system from another perspective other than a parents eye.

Loved working with adults and children with disabilities in the particular teacher that worked in the Rise room was miserable with staff and basically did nothing and her educational assistance did everything while she sat there and criticized. As an educational assistant, we were not even allowed to go to the teachers lounge to eat lunch. We either had to have lunch in the room with the children or leave the school. It was not welcoming and very clicky

Good workplace culture, a typical day of my work is providing support to schools and no-schools. Friendly workplace culture and healthier work environment. You should know you stuff when working in place else yiubwill.be gone.

Odd that they are advertising when people are losing jobs or getting hours reduced so that they don’t qualify for benefits. Major cuts happening in this district. Steer clear as they will use you up and spit you out.

Working at a school is challenging but enriching. These kids need love attention and patience.
This role is on a yearly basis, so you hope to be asked back for the next school year!

This team of people were very diverse.  They loved to help you grow and learn new things to keep you current with todays technology.  They made you feel like you were important to the team.
