The office is led and owned by a family who values a healthy work environment by encouraging self improvement and communication. The director could have chosen the easy route by not working and hiring someone else but she chose to work hand to hand with her team to run her company. They value all of their employees and do everything in their power to keep the ones who wants to stay. CIF shapes you into a better employee and a better person, you will never be judged or penalized for your mistakes but on the choices you make ( there is a difference between an honest mistake and a deliberate action that you know will affect the company or colleagues ). The team is fantastic as well, just like the director, they are smart, funny, caring and always ready to help. The only downside with CIF is that, unless they expend on a larger scale, there is not much room for a promotion. 

I have been working at CIF for many years and am confused by some the statements i have read. Having been in business for over 15 years of course we have had a few employees with whom there have been conflicts. In my experience the management posts an add for a given salary and respects their promise and offers salary reviews annually. They offer full medical benefits. They are extremely accommodating for vacations and time off for personal matters. Of course there are always people who want more. I guess you can't please everyone. I love my co-workers and employers and have always felt part of a small family. Do not let a few disgruntled employees taint your view of this company :)

Since I started working for this company so-called scammers, I first notice how laid back and unprofessional they were running this business almost a decade, all the people seem to put on a fake smile on office, but hidden close doors they are just making high profits by paying peanuts to people, not even a 1$ raise, using people like slaves, when I was working I couldn't stand this conditions so I brought this to the management right before I quit I was yelled at and threatened, 
 They should be investigated running a full-scale shady company

Of course the ones that would not complain is the office staff. The rest are underpayed, there are no benefits, it's a construction job, with all the risks of construction site, and extremely heavy, workers  should have ccq, and other advantages (no paid vacations of any kind), . They  don't even pay taxes and they hire illegals to pay with some cash. That's why there's often illegals working around (about 2-3 per building = 15-20 working in almost slavery). Often workers are treated as garbage by the office staff. 

 You should never try to work here, even this company should be investigated.

Everyone in this workplace loves to put on an act. Pretending to care but then will throw anyone under the bus if there is something wrong. Management is extremely unprofessional, shows off $ and will never offer a raise of even 2$. Talks behind employees back with other employees.  Pays certain employees cash and hires illegal immigrants.

As property managers they are also asking prospective renters to pay extra deposits just to rent as well as paying for keys.

Not a good place to be involved with.

I worked for CIF for almost 3 years and unfortunately life took me in another direction and so I had to leave. If it was up to me I would still be there today :) It is a very tight team and everyone always has each other's back. If you are not a team player you will not do well there. The job can be challenging but having an amazing boss and coworkers made me excited to go to work. I learned so much from my experience there and grateful to have a been a part of that team :)

I worked for CIF for almost two years. During that time I learned so much about the Quebec rental process. Information that now, as a real estate broker, has become priceless. 
The work environment is great, and the other employees are amazing and very good at what they do. 
If you're looking for steady hours, good co-workers, and a fun environnement look no further!

We are a small group that work at the office. We work as a team and help each other with everything. Since working here, I have acquired a lot of valuable experience in property management and real estate. I enjoy coming to work every day as I feel valued as an employee.

Poorly managed company. General disregard for the safety of employees and tenants. Hires uncertified untrained workers some of whom may not be legally allowed to work in Canada. Buildings are not up to code. Poorly communicating and unprofessional management.

Abuse employees and offer low pay. They have been Hiring illegal workers to save money for many years. Offer tenants poorly managed buildings. Owners will fire you without notice, they do not care about their employees, only about making profits.
