I will always look back on this job fondly; management was some of the best I've worked for. It truly is a team environment with individuals constantly offering to jump in to help at a moments notice. Always looked out for their staff and were great for sick days/ vacation/ appointments., etc. They always looked within first when it came to new positions and promotions. Bonus: long christmas break!

This job required early days, generally starting at 5:30am. The job requires a person who really has an eye for detail and the ability to look at the bigger picture. Great benefits for those who love to golf. Working outside all day, fun co-workers. Management ranges from amazing to terrible, you will find that some of the supervisors are awesome and inspiring even, where others are huge jerks. Fun for the summer, and if you are looking to get into turf management they are very encouraging as a lot of the people there went to olds college.

Working at Country Hills was very enjoyable. It can really work for any type of person, you can easily just put your head down and work and do very well for yourself. You can also be very social and enjoy group work and socializing and have a great time. The management and supervisors are very helpful and push you to do your best while giving you space to make mistakes and learn from them. Overall my best experience in the working world.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I'll just say, some of the people were great to work with, while others were not. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Some of the people. I won't name names.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty toxic. At first glance is seems great and welcoming until you find out.

The assistant superintendent here is a good man. He's helped me further my career for years after I left. The staff are all polite and professional. The company itself operates on the basis of training individuals to create better lives for themselves. Working here really changed my life.  

Loved working here. Supervisors and coworkers were (generally) pretty awesome. If you're not an early bird and have an aversion to being out in the occasional deluge, however, the grounds department will not be your cup of tea. 



You basically just maintain the golf course and watch golfers play all day. 
You get to learn alot of how a golf works and how the grass the plants and even the irrigation system functions.

Super fun summer job but unless you go to all the events and management loves you it becomes difficult to actually wanna go to work. This goes for your work perks too your promised that you can go do all these things because you work there and then they push it off until the season ends! 

Management is great and understanding. You'll get the training you need to run the machines they need you to. Yearly raises if you get invited back are also actually a thing they do. 

Great supportive team and management. Very busy in the summer, obviously not as busy in the winter, so it’s harder to make much money in the winter. My only comment is that I wish there were more formal bar training, instead of just sort of learning as you go.
