DO NOT WORK HERE !!!! Too much micro managing for no reason. They need to know when you are leaving your desk and why (including washroom breaks.) Mind you, they can see your status from their own computer, so really, there’s no need to request such a thing from their employees... Specially when call volume is low. No one keeps track of your productivity or areas that need improvement, but instead keeps track of your whereabouts. It’s all about an excessive need for power and control over their employees. If you are unavailable for more than 30 seconds to complete your case notes; you get questioned, every single day, even though your reason remains the same. This company does not comply with basic law and ethical practices. They will do what they can to save a dollar at the cost of the representative’s disposability. Supervisors are impatient and lack basic people skills. They are rude and make you feel like less of a person. Supervisors and managers don’t communicate with each other, which causes confusion between CSR and supervisors. Management and Human Resources do not take the issues you are bringing to the table seriously, instead, they view you as problematic. Management doesn’t even have the professionalism required to answer your questions/emails. No one takes into consideration your learning style, and most importantly they do not offer accommodations as required. In their description they assure you that they welcome people with disabilities. Do not be fooled! That is a complete lie. They do not provide any positive feedback, only negative. Pay rate for bilinguals is the same as normal representatives, even though it is double the work. They cause stress for themselves and stress for their employees because of how disorganized they are. They do not appreciate constructive criticism to help improve the work environment. Overall a useless and toxic company. Everyone there is fake and make you hate your life. If you consider working for this company, DO NOT. If you have been wronged by this company; I strongly suggest you build a case against them and report them to the ministry of labour. Considering how sketchy and unprofessional they are, you will most definitely have a case against them. By far the WORST company I have ever worked for in my entire career. They are a complete joke. You can do better. 

In my experience management and leadership only care about the adjusters hitting KPI's and implementing one-size-fits-all policies that make things easier for management and more difficult for adjusters and admin. They are becoming the Walmart of the adjusting world, buying up smaller firms and making the employees feel like they will be part of a thriving team that supports each other and uses industry leading technology to support their adjusters. In reality, as an adjuster, I have been made to feel like I am just a number and management only cares about KPI's and meeting targets with no real support offered. Have a broken chair and need a new one? Too bad, pay for it yourself. Need to submit a $10 meal receipt from an out of town lunch? You will need to go through a daunting reimbursement process followed by approval from multiple managers. ClaimsPro continues to implement guidelines and processes that make the adjusters job more difficult than it should be with no consideration for what the adjusters want and need. I don't know of one person working on the admin side that is happy with the company. I had to sign a contract to work from Claimspro which has a stipulation that they can basically implement any policy they want at any time and you must abide or risk being terminated. And yes, they do implement ridiculous policies that make no sense and use them for their benefit. Don't be surprised if you are supposed to be paid an auto allowance and then they decide to cut that in half out of nowhere because things are slow for the company. 

ClaimsPro pays adjusters a commission. The commission is a percentage of the “pure fee billing”  which is what’s left after they take a cut off the top. If the client is charged $100 per hour the company takes about $30-$35 off the top. The employee gets a percentage usually 45%-55% of the remaining $65 -$70 That puts the hourly rate between about $30-$40 per hour. When working for select clients an adjuster may earn $50 per hour. The rate per hour is inclusive of all holiday pay, stat holidays and sick days. Adjusters are paid in decimal of an hour for some functions, for instance report writing is paid at .3  to .4 of an hour per page. Many required job functions must be done for free. For instance if a client requires training to handle their claims it must be done for free. Internal communication is free. Time for given functions is limited. An adjuster can wait upwards of six months to be paid for work completed. Average wait times for work completed is 2-3 months. Although training is paid for it does not increase the percentage received. After attaining a CIP you receive $500 in a bonus but no increase in commission. A  CIP is 10 courses at an average of 200 hours each.  You are required to use your own vehicle, compensation is 48 cents per km. When on holidays no one keeps your claims current. Focus is on hours billed. 24 hour On call  is required. No overtime is ever paid.   Benefits are available on hire and are good. Work schedule is flexible as long as hours billed remains high. Training is mostly self directed. 

Not all roles within the company are identical nor do they deliver the same experience, good or bad. I can't speak for all employees of the company, however my own experience was positive in the beginning... however as time went on it became apparent that in my area of expertise, there is no such thing as good enough or satisfactory. The job has to be its' own reward or it's not worth it. The pay is below industry standard, the expectations are unreasonable and unless you are in with management, you are not appreciated no matter how hard you work or how much effort you put in. 

The people I worked with made the day to day worth while, and I enjoyed the challenge, but the only way you can keep up with the work load is to work over time, for free, without the reward of extra pay or even a thank-you from management. 

It didn't help that the company within a six month period announced a raise / hiring freeze to all staff for a full year, and then six months later held a Company wide, webinar seminar presented by the President boasting about how the profits were bigger than ever that year and the following year was expected to be even better.  

Those who quit are very slowly replaced, while the work load left gets spread among the few left behind to try to manage and keep clients happy.

It is a good place to start in the industry and gain experience from an independent adjuster, but you need to move on at the end of the day.  Due to the unforeseen event, I was among other staff who got laid off. It is almost my second anniversary at ClaimsPro. I thought when they meant temporarily laid off means an 8 to 10 weeks max. However, the company decided to lay off me for 35 weeks.  

I submitted my performance review last year before the Christmas break and hoping to get a performance review by my manager sometime after the holidays, it never happened. 

I worked super hard as an administrative assistant for the National account. I strived to become an adjuster by enrolling in the CIP courses every four months. Yes, they pay for continuing education (my CIP courses). There was no ability to work from home until the pandemic occurred. 

Benefits and salaries are moderate, and there is no bonus, profit sharing. I only got a salary increase after six months, but it was less than 2%, which is nothing, especially after a profitable year. They don't give an incentive to employees for a good year's work.

I would not recommend it at all; no one will know how hard I work. The rewarding system (Kudos), there are tax deductibles when you decide to spend them.

I worked as a Claims Adjuster and found the onboarding and training process challenging. As a new adjuster, I often felt there was not enough structured training or mentorship available to help me develop in the role. Responses to questions were sometimes delayed due to workload demands, which made it difficult to learn and progress efficiently.

The office appeared to be managing a high volume of files, and this occasionally affected communication and turnaround times. I also found that expectations regarding billing and administrative processes were not always clear, which created frustration.

This role can be stressful and fast-paced, and employees who prefer a highly structured training environment may find the transition difficult. While some people may thrive in this environment, it was not the right fit for me.

Pros:
opportunity to gain industry experience.

Cons:
Limited training, high workload, communication challenges, and lack of consistent support.

I had to give up after 3 months, I was in the insurance industry before I started at ClaimsPro Mississauga. Training was useless not that I needed it but I'd worry if I had to rely on them. Equipment is very outdated best if you brought your own keyboard or mouse. Feedback is nil support is useless, I had laptop issues and couldn't get the IT guy to pry himself from his own computer to fix mine. 
In the very beginning I had sent an email to the wrong person and no less than 4 individuals emailed me back to say I'd sent an email to the wrong person (weird office space scene) 
Most of the people were genuine there was the one office rat who'd like to fill in management on the goings on. We got him good by conceiving an office story and the rat went for it, after that we're cautious when he was within earshot. I'd talk to a few people and in other departments, they were either miserable or tired, the job is very feast or famine depending on the weather conditions. Most of the time you're looking for another place to work while you're getting your CIP's

Extremely unpleasant work environment.  The staff were wonderful, but the number of people who resigned because of the aggresive management style displayed should definitely have been looked into long ago.  No one wants to speak out for fear of retaliation and the extremes this manager will go to in order to pay you back are beyond reasonable.  Trying to book vacation is truly a nightmare and a constant battle if you even want to take two weeks together.  Phone calls to Admin staff on weekends was not unheard of.  No extra pay, only time off...and then only at this managers discretion.  This manager has no integrity what so ever and is incapable of keeping staff members personal problems confidential.  A psychological analysis to determine if this person was fit to manage personnel would surely come up lacking.  I would STRONGLY suggest anyone who is considering a position with this office, think twice about it!!

Claimspro will apply constant pressure to do more for less. Independent adjusters are paid by points of an hour, for example .1 to write a 2 page email. If that is not bad enough many things are expected to be done for free. If applying for a job ask about bottom line billing. Time you enter is taken back and you are required to work for free. Mileage compensation for required use of vehicle does not cover cost. Education is not rewarded. This company markets itself as a tech based company but uses bottom line dell computers and replace the phone only every 3 years. The company keeps 56%-70% of the fee you earn.  They keep 33% of the mileage fee. No one covers your claims while on holiday so anything  over one week off at a time is unrealistic. Can wait over 6 months to be paid for work performed. Not covered by emoyment standards or Canada Labour code. Do you research before taking a job with this company.

An independent adjuster is required to continuously educate yourself in order to get the most out of your career. There are many benefits and rewards when you obtain your CIP.
