This company used to be a great company to work for guys got a long great good hours, amazing pay checks great union  benefits I went on paternity leave November of 2021 my wife and I had our second child. After a few long months I was due back to work March 14th they started with the mind games. They saying to me no work not busy putting me on the back burner. This company turned from good to very bad in months micro managed 100 percent. They stopped the safety meetings, became very cheap. So I finally found another job. Cww is a waste of time they don't treat there workers with any respect. Stay far away from this place they build their business on dishonesty...

I worked at CWW as a summer student, and I would do it again: it's a fantastic opportunity! 

You'll work lots. I was averaging 9.5 hours a day (OT after 50) and at $20/hr it really helps take the edge off the price of tuition. Unless you're working in a program specific co-op for the summer I don't think Ottawa has a better opportunity for students looking to make money than CWW. 

You'll get a lot of construction experience too! I crawled pipes, learned to flush sewers, and helped operate hydrovac trucks. The best part is that while subcontracting you'll make a lot of connections. My whole summer was the best networking experience I've had to date.  

On top of all that, I've seen the office be more supportive of students than my own University. I would love to come back one day. 

Very busy place, lot's of hours available. High pay rates compare to competition . Fun work environment if you compare where I was before. If you don't want to work full time or you want to  do strict minimum, it's the wrong place. Management  has been pushing out bad apples to make room for upgrades. Lots of improvements  in the past year. 
During Covid19 company picked a lot new business, very busy.    

I've worked with the management team for over a year. Great people to work with. Hard Work but good work to get your foot in the door into environmental or hydrovac. Pay is decent compared to market value. 

Pros: Great people to work with and great to get experience in many different jobs. 
Cons: Staff development and working in tough conditions. 

Overall would recommend to others. 

Working for CWW in Montreal ended up being great. The regional manager and project manager are great and understanding. 

Hours vary wildly and the days are never the same.

Unfortunately, as the company has grown, it has become less employee oriented and therefore the work environment has started to degrade.

drive to work for 7:00 am every day to possibly recive a service call or be booked @ a job somebody else sold erlier in week ,lots of commercial work resturants goverment buildings city of ottawa jobs i ran my own service van and was responsible for keeping it stocked propperly and everything was in order i did a lot of service work for this company

My co-workers are all amazing people to work with.  Even though I spend most of my time in Quebec with French co-workers, they are all very helpful in my quest to learn french.  As long as I try, and I do all the time, they help me along and correct my mistakes (language wise) when they happen.  Truly helpful people.

If safety and sanity are attributes you can live without this is a great place to work. If zero work life balance is your thing this is a great place to work.

The owner was the smartest business man I have ever worked for. He would never take no for a answer which was his flaw as a boss. Great place to earn money, however the overtime does get excessive.

New management just doesn’t care anymore, they feed you empty promises and lie to your face. The on call is horrible and you don’t get paid for it, hours are iffy sometimes they are there sometimes they are not. They walk all over you until you quit. To them it’s easier to hire someone new then keep the trained experienced employees.
