The company is always rushing, there is 0 organization in the mechanical side, the journeyman doesn't help or expain how to do certain procedures should be carried out, just expects, and is usually not pleasant to work around or with. The other mechanic is much better but is usually not there due to being on the road, but otherwise is very helpful, no support from higher management, time off apprenticeship ect..

Being l8ed to the boss, the field supervisor who's always in hiding

Pretty decent, most people were friendly enough and willing to help you out if you needed it 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long days, gone from home, camp or hotel life

Culture was what we would make of it , it was hairy cairy at times but that was small , there was the usual favourtism, mentorship was virtually nonexistent , training was unprofessional for inexperienced, safety was very good I have to admit , salary was still low after I proved myself and beyond so it was time to move on , enough time was wasted

GM is horrible with communication and it trickles down too all levels of management. Can be seen by a very disorganized group. Managments preplanning and organization is reactive making it a super chaotic work environment. Maintenance on equipment is weak a lot of equipment that is not in good working condition. Drivers being forced to run dangerous equipment or no hours

Shift work night/days on a variety of drilling rigs and plants.
City work flood cleanup/waste removal
gained plenty of equipment experience as well as on/off-road driving in all conditions, land spreading, ice road building.
Hardest part of the job was working in extreme temperatures for extended periods of time, and working many days in a row.

I truly enjoyed working here.  I started as an operator and ended as the safety supervisor.  they covered all costs of related courses.  they always made sure there employees were happy both at work and home by allowing the time off required to make the homelife happy.

This place has got to be the worst run company out there. Equipment is all falling apart,no money being put back into the trucks... nobody cares... all the vac drivers hate eachother and have these giant egos... so many lazy guys. So much drama.

Lots of contacts for work in Calgary, AB, also oil patch. Good equipment well maintained, Manager easy to talk not one screaming numbnuts. Dispatch also great work with.

Good place, pay is fair. Good equipment. Can work in rigs
Room for growth and advancement opportunities are certainly available.
Given adequate training and support if new or training for a new task 

Very terrible communication from management. Shortages on payroll are a real problem. Always chasing to get paid out if atall.Safety standards went down hill after Vertex bought out Cordy.
