EBT is a great place to work.  There is a wide variety of work in the office so it is easy to experience all facets of public accounting.  The work is both challenging and rewarding while offering continual room for growth in a role.

When people think of accountants, they think of bean counters. While the people of EBT could be considered bean counters they are bean counters with personality. Everyone is personable, approachable and fun to be around. This can be said right up to the top. The Principles make it a point to know each and everyone and genuinely take an interest in your personal life whether it is asking about your family, your pets, you vacation etc. 

EBT helps to encourage your personal growth by continually pushing you to work on more complex files and continually pushing you to advance. 

Flex time and shorter days in the summer help to achieve that work life balance and allows time to spent with family or enjoying the outdoors.

I worked for EBT for 7 years and enjoyed my time. I left to experience other firms and its fair to say, no other firm had the same culture as EBT. I realized EBT has an incredible community centric focus, not only for the Medicine Hat community, but also our internal community. I have been back at EBT now for almost 6 months, and have been to advance into different areas over and above my regular work. I find everyone is encouraging, and the management are very supportive. In my personal opinion EBT is the best firm in Medicine Hat , and would highly recommend working for EBT. 

I have never worked for a company like EBT before. You consistently receive feedback on your performance, and you get acknowledged for a job well done, even from the Principals! Even the team members are extremely helpful and encouraging. Everyone truly wants you to succeed and they will do what's necessary to help you achieve success. On top of that, the flexibility for work-life balance and benefits are amazing. 10/10 recommend working for EBT! You will never want to leave.

EBT is a fast paced environment with a lot of opportunity for growth. The partner group cares about their staff and make an extra effort to get to know people and show appreciation. You get exposure to multiple areas of accounting and have an opportunity to explore potential specialties or remain a generalist. The culture is top notch. Employees are positive, energetic, and hard working. There are regular workplace events and there is always a great turnout. 

EBT is a great place to work.  The management and partners are supportive of staff, and the variety of work keeps the days interesting.   

For an CPA student, there's exposure to many different aspects of accounting, which is very valuable when going through the CPA PEP program.  

The mentorship provided at the firm is geared towards building the competencies required to get through PEP, and is structured in a way that meets the unique needs of the student.

I have been with EBT for a couple of month now.  Everyone here is so friendly and helpful.  In my 2 months I have learnt so much already, still have a way to go but I am looking forward to it.  The culture here is very positive and everyone is willing to teach and learn.  Their mentorship program is excellent.  I am so thrilled to be apart of this team.  Absolutely wonderful company to work for.

EBT is a fantastic place to work. Being a summer student, you get challenged and get experience on the actual type of work you will be doing in the future. This is very valuable as you enter into the CPA PEP program.

Everyone is extremely positive and willing to help, even from the top down. The opportunities for growth and the willingness to help you achieve any goal  makes for a great workplace.

I seriously love coming to work everyday. Everything that I have wanted in a job is at EBT. The people are great, everyone is helpful and friendly. I've only been here just over a month and I have already learned so much. The work environment is fun and positive. Overall wonderful place to work.

The work days are what you would expect in the field, with reduced hours in summer but longer days in tax season. Management genuinely cares about how you are doing and your stress levels. You get to work around a variety of people in different roles and skill levels, which allows for help and learning. Overall, a fantastic place to come to work.
