Empack is a challenging place to work due to ongoing issues with communication, unclear direction, and inconsistent leadership. Priorities frequently change without proper planning or explanation, which makes it difficult for employees to stay aligned or effectively manage their responsibilities.

There is a noticeable lack of structure in processes and decision-making, leading to confusion and inefficiencies across teams. Support for employees and opportunities for development are limited, and expectations are often unclear.

Overall, the work environment can feel disorganized and reactive, which impacts morale and makes it difficult for employees to perform at their best.

A typical day at work with Empack for me at the Toronto Backyard Living Expo was, waking up to my booth and organizing and fixing all products positioning, starting the day off with just making the booth as perfect as can be for the customers. Once viewers and customers came into the Expo, we were grabbing their attention, bringing them into our booth, and explaining how amazing our products were and how well they worked. After lunch, I would continue talking to customers and selling our products, at the end of the day I would count the money made and charge our Apple pay box for the next day.

Getting experience here was great and having all day on the forklift made learning quick and easy. The management was very stress free and a pleasure to work with but communication was difficult for some when it came to safety and regulations. Something that could be easily fixed within seconds ends up resulting in a argument because of poor communication. 

Aside from that specifically the general manager and owner are great and when an operator requested any equipment it was provided right away.

No planning, cheap benefits, unsafe during covid, no paid sick day  do not respect employees..say they do one thing and then do another..untrustworthy..
Most employees are ok as are some managers.
Whenever hr try to do something owners dont like they change hr very high turnover..
Would not reccomend working there!!

One of the worst place to work on the planet. Not at all professional. Everyone thinks and treat you as he owns the place while there are no rules followed and the the owner himself influenced by the other people and does know the right procedures. Everyone can do everything, does not matter of qualification whether quality auditing or preparing batches or driving forklift. Not at all safe environment. Not recommended at all. Specially in quality department.

If they had a ranking of zero I would rank a zero across the board. I did 1 star cause that's the lowest they have.
Management, owners, and the people there sucked and I'm glad they closed their doors..
Empacked allowed work bullies to work there..their Management team constantly where hitting on the employee's and as far as the owners..they shouldn't even have a business cause they don't know how to run one. The whole empack business is a joke.


Could not recommend working for this company under any circumstance. Witnessed threats of physical violence that were just brushed under the rug.  Zero chemical compatibility training for warehouse staff.  Some managers were very respectful and helpful, but others relied on bullying and coercion. Salary offered was far below average.

I can not say enough good things about working at empack. It was such an amazing experience from the moment I stepped foot in the door. The owner is such an amazing man and his managers are just as great! That is one company that truly appreciates hard work  

    Warning! Do not work here lack of safety measures to protect employees from dangerous and harmful chemicals. Old boys club work culture. Unwilling to improve or work together between departments making simple tasks a headache.
