The leadership is poor at best. There is no direction by head office, you are given a site to manage and then left to figure things out. If you make the wrong decision, you are emailed by the owners and everyone is copied and you are berated so everyone can see. There are no supportive or check in meetings, no feedback except for criticism and you are expected to answer all emails within a four hour period. 

You are expected to review emails constantly while touring sites, answering calls, meeting contractors, meeting condo residents and managing restoration projects. The senior managers do not care to This workplace is toxic, the owners have nicknames for everyone and they are not kind names. This company has grown very fast but do not have the staff, process nor support in place to aid the growth. You are given a Manager title only to ensure you don’t get paid for the additional 10-15 hours per week over the 44 hour limit that is per code.

regular salary, decent health insurance

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
No expectations and goals towards employees.  Bad management, bad communication, no reliable structure. Lots of talk and little action. Focus is on their bonus. Lots of staff turnover.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
no listening, no support, lack of respect in internal communications.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
basic preventive maintenance in several buildings (mobile operations), resident service calls, vendor management, work monitoring, etc.

None tbh!  Training - poor

nothing really, they have monopoly in the market and will fire you again once they take over

Working at Equium Group is rewarding both professionally and intellectually. The company is extremely entrepreneurial and is not geared for individuals used to working in larger institutional settings. I highly suggest working with the Equium team if you enjoy being challenged and obtaining exposure to different departments. I was promoted on two separate occasions since joining the company. Its a great atmosphere for productivity and growth.

Most days felt disorganized and reactive rather than productive. Tasks were often assigned with little notice or clarity, making it difficult to plan or prioritize work effectively.
While I gained some technical exposure, much of what I learned came from trial and error rather than structured training or mentorship. Opportunities for meaningful development were limited.

I appreciate the team effort mentality. It's rare to find a group of people that are always willing to help you succeed. Their support in personal growth is very unique. Never once has I been made to feel out of place. Our GMs are a constant resource for information and knowledge. 
I am proud to be an Equium employee.

Lots of expectations but lots of opportunity for growth. The owners are really hard working and so they expect a lot but if you deliver you can do well. I started 2 years ago and I was promoted 3 times last year

Equium Group is a great organization with plenty of growth opportunity. 

You have the ability to grow rapidly with the organization given their tremendous growth over the past several years.

I'd give zero stars if I could. This is a terrible and toxic company to work for. They prioritize profits over people and do not care about their employees at all. Do yourself a favour and move on.
