A day at work involved, logging into your work station, working your assigned tickets and any additional that you could complete before your end of day.
I discovered that my fear of putting into practice the skills I had self taught myself was misplaced.
Management is typical of this generation, I say this in general, they are number crunchers and typically lack the technical expertise to guide the employees. There were a couple of middle management that were elevated from the floor, however it for the most part it seemed they were there in body but not as treateded part of the management team by thier piers.
My co-workers were for the most part amazing, we not only worked together very well, but we frequently enjoyed each others company outside of work. It wasn't uncommon to come together at someones house for a BBQ.
There was only one thing tough about the job, knowing I was only there on a contract position and knew it had an end date.
The most enjoyable part of this job was knowing that I was going to work each day to do what I loved doing.

Typical day was spent managing a roster of companies for receivables. Addressing any fire that would have blocked a payment from being collected on time.
Coordinating between outside and inside clients to achieve goals.

Learned to think on the spot and refined problem solving skills. Management was strained at the time as the company was moving 1000 jobs to Bengalore at the time. Management (as well as regular bodies) was spread thin and overworked. This was the hardest par tof the job; seeing the amount of bodies go down with no replacement, so our workload would steadily go up. Also, we were never hired full time (as promised) because of a hire freeze that was announced 2 weeks into our training. Working hard with no chance of getting on the real roster, no paid vacation, no benefits I would say is the hardest.

The best part was the team. Hard times makes for a tight crew.

A typical day at Exxon Mobil was speaking to clients on the phone or via e-mail to place oil orders for the distributors.I learned about the oil and chemical industry working at Exxon Mobil I also gaind experience in my computer skills by learning new programs.  Managers are great people.  Open door policy makes every employee comfortable when personal or work issues arise.  All of my Co-Workers were fun to be around there was always some laughter in the office.  They were very supportive and help each other out when others had questions.  The hardest part of my job was having to tell a customer that their product would not be available in the timeframe that they needed it.  The most enjoyable part of my job was my customers and co-workers.  My customers were regular customers assigned to me and they were fun to talk to.

The shifts were a little hard to get used to due to switching from days to nights, Once I was used to that aspect it was great having days off during the week, and twelve hours never really felt that long. Most of the lab work was completed by a single employee but required communication and problem solving with operators, and other employees.
The most difficult part of the job was the equipment maintenance and procedure writing. The maintenance of the equipment was difficult due to the fact that the procedures were often not updated as parts were replaced. I excelled in the maintenance portion of my tasks as I enjoyed finding out what parts did what. I enjoyed troubleshooting the equipment and following through with updating the procedures. I enjoyed the challenge of this portion of the work.

. the most enjoyable part of my job, I felted i had security as long as i did my job and i felted i did my job good. a challenge everyday and go home where everyone went home the same way they came in.

I performed JSEA's, conducted safety meeting, did over 30 to 40 cutovers of equipment without a refinery upset, I have covered civil, mechanical electrical an instrument work, I am a jack of all trades but a master of none. over my 30 year span i have missed only one week of work for being sick, i am a person the company and count on to being there when needed.

A typical day for me would begin by logging into the phones to be prepared to take fallout calls and any incoming call from Customers on the accounts that I worked. Most of my day consisted of problem solving-for example, why did this Invoice price incorrectly? Was it a pricing issue or did it stem from some internal error that needs to be traced down the line to be corrected? The remainder of my days would be reviewing delinquency on high risk accounts and working to collect any outstanding balances. I worked a special assignment in working to clear up the most delinquent and highly complicated accounts to assist in getting numbers to targeted expectations for our Business Support Center.

Working in such an reputable establishment was a great one because l was able to gain job experience and l also develop my skills on work process in oil and gas companies as reflexted in my CV. ln the process l acquire adequate training which is very useful on my day to day activities, the management also emphasis on safety development of personnel in all ramification and how co-workers coperate to achieved success in every jobs. The hardest part of the job was the risk involved in flying offshores for that number of years and the enjoyment part was the job experience which help me in my future carrieer.

I have experience and skills in troubleshooting and repairs of pumps, compressors, steam plant, generators, condensers, evaporator, valves, in tank repairs, and fabrication/installations of mechanical equipment's, etc. On day at we always accomplished the task assign to us unless very critical we suspend for another day. l have learn a lot as per what l did not no before in terms of safety, security and work process. l always have a good relationship with my co-workers in order to build a solid team. The hardest part of the job is when there is Critical job with limited number of personnel to execute the job and the most enjoyable part is we are able to accomplish all task assign to us.

Safety is priority. Daily KPI standards that required to be action-ed daily.  

My main duties include but not limited to:  

Expediting Railcar's from a KPI data base.  

Tracking Railcar's on Railroad site and updating current activity on each Railcar. 

Escalating issues with Railroad. Opening service log or sending email.

Generating Railtrac reports and following up on any issues with an  Railcar.  

Doing daily MIGO is SAP (posting of Goods Receipt from various plants).
