I worked on board for five months as a hostess. Italian officers were lecherous and simple-minded, as was the assistant cruise director who threatened me with warnings for nothing.

Managers having  s*x with their staff, shouting and screaming on a daily basis, small talk behind everybody's backs, it was the saddest bunch I have ever come across. The captain was a great person though. Probably the only one.

If you like to get lucky every night and don't mind being put down by your 'superior officers'(ha!)  this is the place for you. If not, avoid like the plague. Seriously.

Advantages
• You can save money, because you don't pay for accommodation and food
• You visit diferent countries 
• You learn how to survive and be strong in a very competive and not trustful environment 
• You can make true friends for life
 Disadvantages 
• Very intense life, takes a lot of energy, can be very stressful daily
• You can noy trust much people, be very careful with people around, its hard to believe but lots of people will try to take your place or put you down
• It is a hard to work as woman in this environment, so be careful, be strong and gain respect by putting limits


To be honest, your job depends largely on your manager and coworkers, and whether they have a good attitude towards the job. Lots can be achieved with great teamwork but if your coworkers hate their job and don't care then it goes downhill.

I had two amazing managers but had the unfortunate pleasure of spending 2 weeks under one who clearly was on a power trip. Thankfully a new manager came in. I don't think I would've stayed if she hadn't left.

Being part of the msc crusies line management i would like to share about my experience with msc is to Good to work with the team and getting more specif about the  guest requirements example gluten free food and special orders,in special order me as team player i put myself in to shoes to the perfection wise the taste of the food and presentation till food reach the guest,

I did a referral with no referral fee .I have been told to get commission but turned out to be bonus structure.There are favorism if u are a girl you are all set.No communication internal( promo day to day where it should be out weeks ahead). Discrimination as there is staff who starts earlier like 8:00 am

It was a good experience and challenge job.Had to know how to solve the problems for the guests immediately.Had to know more different culture from other country.
Had to keep a positive attitude to serve the guests, and make the guest appreciate your hospitality.
It's the most difficult thing is how to solve the complaints.

I started as hotel cleaner in 2017 until 2021 and currently i am assistant hotel store keeper,
Work with Msc cruises is good career when you start Yong and want to grow up, they care of the employees and give equal opportunities to who wants to grow up  from lower positions. 

It is overall a nice company with good opportunities. Unfortunately, the salary is way to low compared to the living rate. Besides, it is very difficult to obtain a raise. Being good and professional individual is not very recognized.

Over all not a bad place to work. But I quit the moment I found a job willing to pay me what I deserved. The pay wasn't enough to live in Ontario. Is 

It is a good place to work, at the end you have at a max... 4 hours of work per day on stage and its never that long... usually 3 hours and a half... the bad part is that you work EVERY DAY  you never rest your voice till your contract is over
