And the quality equipment that they have for the operators to run is all new and high-quality machinery.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
first thing in the morning, you would have your tailgate meetings find out what priority was for the day for work. Then you get to work to try to achieve the goal that was sent out for your task for the day.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I worked with them for ten years at various job positions. They treated me very well and kept me busy most of the time. Can’t say enough about them!! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful time for me was driving to the remote places in on the winter roads and loading the equipment with no one around.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environmental culture was foremost, everyone did there part to make sure it was strictly followed.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day was try and do the best you can and ensure everyone went home safely.

No Respect with how the layoff of my position was handled. I had to reach out to my foreman two days before I was meant to travel back for work. I was then told my whole crew was laid off, which wasn't the truth. I wasn't given any explanation and felt like it was unfortunate considering the effort and time I put into this job. They keep people that no one wants to work with but will let go good workers. I was hesitant working for Macro as I have heard mixed reviews of them in the past, and having experienced this, I wouldn't recommend this company.

I worked in the office.  Hours could be long.  Pay was very good.  Employees were excellent, everyone trying to earn a buck and do a job.  Management was especially difficult to work with.  If you were part of the “chosen” you were loved.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with the management.  I think a lot of people want to work there because of the good pay structure but the shine wears off of that in due course.

Layoff was the best day because of supervisor

Got a job with macro after many applications, was there for 3 months then laid off due to lack of work, haven’t heard back, worked alongside these guys on project and they are awesome but there’s not much job retention it seems, turnover was high.

Absolutely a great place to work. The staff is easy to get along with, always looking to make the jobs more enjoyable. I totally wish the oilpatch slowdown never happened. Still on call, whenever the work picks up, if I don't find other employment.

sometimes welders helper, and sometimes a pipefitters helper, learned a bit of stuff management and co workers where all great and helpful, hardest part of the job was being away from the wife and kids, the best part of the job was being with a good bunch of guys to work with

As a welders helper on the pipeline, my main duties were to assist the welder in doing pipeline tie ins and structural welding. Mostly getting to know the tools needed and making sure that the jobsite was clean. Grinding and buffing were also a part of the job.

Fast past, good work environment, pro-efficient management, great team energy, the sitting time waiting for a job/task, and the best part was when days flew by.
