Working here was a very eye opening experience of to what toxic beauty culture does to a salon.

First off there is no break room, nowhere to sit during lunch as well as NO benefits for full time employees. 

The average salary for a concierge is $16.50, while other salons in the area pay upwards of $18. So there is really no salary incentive to work here.  

Managment will fool you during the interview promising Incentives such as commission  and tips. However in reality 1 in 100 costumer actually buy the very limited and quite frankly useless things sold at the venues. 

There is a toxic management environment for sure. Unrealistic beauty standards are placed on employees ESPECIALLY new hires. They expect you to be “beautiful” and smiling and fake all the time and when you are not they will call you “iore the donkey” (yes Management  did call me a donkey while working there and then proceeded to tell me I belong in a library not a salon).

Overall my experience was poor at this salon and I really wished it would have been different. Maybe in the future if they change management or actually hire people with a business education to run there venues it would be an acceptable place to work. 



Bi-weekly staff manis was the ONLY good thing about this company. At the start they will tell you a bunch of lies about how great the management is and what a wonderful it is to work at. But in reality:
Schedule is often released one-two days before the start of the week. So it will be like Saturday night and you still have no idea if and when you'll be coming in to work on Monday.
Any type of scheduling conflict is frowned upon. Even if you gave them enough notice they'll still schedule you.
They don't provide a microwave or a fridge to store your lunch so if you want a warm meal you're eating takeout, which adds-up.
Tips are often miscalculated, it's not transparent at all how they calculate them. Takes weeks and constant reminders to the management to show up in you bank account. And you don't get tips for the first two weeks because you're "training" .
The clientele is rude and considered to be always right even if they're not.
The people working there are snobby and fake. Coaching you to give every customer a compliment just so they feel nice and come back.
The reasons above is why the have huge employee turnover rate and why you shouldn't work there

The concierge position is incredible for those who are eager to learn and hungry to grow! You will never be bored. You will be tackling a variety of roles & tasks from work as a receptionist, bartender, and in retail. The space creates great relationships with clients, and co workers alike. Full of laughter and connection. You get to celebrate people every day. Learned so much about branding, management and excellent customer service skills. Management is flexible, and SO open to growth and improvement. Constantly touching base with their team to ensure the best work environment. Really cares about staff health & safety. Great perks! From staff discounts to bi weekly manicures!  

Management have no care for their employees. From the outside looking in, it looks like a great place to work but behind the scenes it's anything but that. A lot of their employees don't stay for very long. They don't have a proper lunch break area for the staff and don't provide any facilities such as a fridge for people to bring in lunch etc. They also ignore employees schedules and make them work regardless. If anyone tries to make a suggestion to improve how things are done, they just get fired and replaced- very quick turnaround of staff. I wouldn't recommend working here. 

- Be ready that your shift will get cut, pay you minimum wage and won't give you any raise even you stay with them for years. 
- Poor management doesn't care about you at all, no proper break. Lunch is shared in a small locker room in which coats and supplies are also stored and no microwave to heat up lunch, especially during winter, you either have cold food or go out to have lunch within 30 min.
- Favouritism is a big thing and appointments aren't given equally.
- Unfair and unhealthy work environment.
Not recommend to work here!

Working at Majesty's Pleasure has been a very rewarding experience. 

I have grown from a very junior position to a senior position in just a matter of years, due to hard work and dedication. Something I love about the company is that they believe in promoting from within, this is not something that many companies do. 

I would recommend to anyone to work at Majesty's Pleasure. It's so much more than just a beautiful and fun environment. But that is a perk! ;)

Been here for more than 3 years and can't say enough about Majesty's.
- Owner and management are really supportive, understanding and flexible.
- Concierge gets their mani done every 2 weeks.
- Free snacks, tea and coffee in break room.
- Co-workers are in a tight and close relationship.
- There's always room to grow if you are willing to learn and take more responsibilities.
- Clientele are nice and respectful.
- Not a competitive work environment compare to other ordinary nail salons.


Everyone is so friendly, the manager always takes care of you no matter what. They definitely reward you for your hard working and care. As long as you talk with your manager & owners about growth up further they will support you in anyway. You have opportunities for growth with this company in caparison to other salons. 
Workplace a little stress since you have to work faster and it's usually always busy.  But a fun atmosphere with great customers who tip well. 

I started as a concierge, an entry-level position, and have since grown within the company. I absolutely love working with Majesty's Pleasure and would recommend it to anyone passionate about hospitality, luxury beauty and being a part of something bigger than yourself. It is the most supportive work environment I have ever been a part of. There are wonderful part-time positions as well and Full-time positions with tons of opportunities for growth! 

Such a poorly ran business. Owners and management do not care for or respect their employees nor do they take the time to actually listen to employees about what the work environment is actually like. Felt incredibly undervalued and worthless my whole time with this company. Was not paid the correct amount/not paid at all on multiple occasions and management did not care. Thankfully, fellow employees were great which made coming into work each day less agonizing.
