I started working 2 days per week since I already had a job prior to this one but was looking for some extra hours so it seemed like perfect match. Eventually I left my old job to fully dedicate myself to MontVr as I felt the company had so much potential to be something amazing and impactful in the gaming industry. At the time of my hiring they had expanded to 4 stores but really only 3 cause nobody cared for Warwick. The lack of breaks, fairly low amount of employees, schedules that were thinly stretched so we were basically always working alone with no real back up and being in a mall with different opening hours basically meant,besides holidays,long weekends or overly pushed events, you were actually completely alone and no customers. But believe or not, this isn't really the main issues since the staff were mature and capable to handle these situations and with our "regional manager", who was being scammed and abused to be honest, decided to quit after their quest for world domination or something. 
After they opened the 10/30 center, they ambitiously started to open/plan to open a ludicrous amount of shops for no reason other than maybe greed since they didn't have any real competition. I'm all for expansion but we were clearly not making that much profit and non of the shops were standardized and/or fully functional. Technology has its issues and bugs but not as frequently and as crippling. The did not listen to their staff and went forward with the most unsuccessful, mishandled, poorly coordinated openings without ever making sure the existing were in functional state as most of the time a lot of the stations were down. The whole Christmas debacle where our shop was seriously understaffed and overworked (we were only 3 employees) and all they offered is a half cooked excuse and a 50$ gift card and that's where the lack of respect and willingness to admit their mistakes and actually learn/improve was nonexistent. Recognition was a serious issue hence why we saw a lot of employees leaving. To make matters worst, they started hiring their cookie cutter versions of "ideal" employees a.k.a yes-men to enforce their agenda. To add insult to injury they hired this person who clearly clueless about the business and WOULD RELENTLESSLY spy on the employees via their makeshift big brother camera system. 
I will concede I wasn't the perfect employee but I did believe in the idea of having a fun place to work and be passionate about what I was selling. They completely lost me over the few months I worked before I was "terminated effectively" which was also the pettiest way to do so. Making an employee travel over an hour, being fired on the spot without actually work my shift is completely unacceptable. They have no human soul, no consideration for people who worked hard and tried to keep their subpar dream alive, gave no credit for bright ideas and never actually listened when they asked for "advice". Could've been great, now go down in flames. Games are boring, repetitive, no will for experimentation as V.R. should be, software overly complicated for no real reason, missing materials to properly work, and htc vive pro is an overpriced dog fecal product.THEIR CARPETS ARE CURSED. If you're curious for VR, just buy one or go try it at a friend's house, you're just wasting your money. If you're hurting for money and it's between homelessness and this, try it I guess.

Worked here for a decent amount of time. And at the beginning, the job was awesome! Coworkers are amazing and the idea behind the company is really cool.
But as time passed, the job became stressful as we are always understaffed at the worst times and overstaffed when we don't need to be. Your either called in the day of and kind of pressured into coming in, or your cut short, so hours aren't stable.
Also, once you know your way around the systems, and you become really good at quick at quick trouble shooting, the higher ups are good at spotting this, and will have you do more stuff that you haven't necessarily been hired to do. This isn't generally a problem, but it does become one when all the hard work you put in never gets acknowledged. 
As for the job, clients tend to be on the more egotistical side, which isn't a problem itself.. but it does take it's toll on you. And while an angry customer is arguing with you, the computer stops working, then the game crashes, then a new player gets added on at the last second, and the problems keep on stacking and stacking. And the worst of all this, is that it is going to be someone's fault, and it will most likely be yours.

Overall, the idea behind the job is really cool, and you will get to work with some really awesome people. However, the way the job is executed is terrible and management leaves a lot to be desired.

I used to work at MontVR, and it was one of the best job experiences I’ve had! The atmosphere is always lively and fun, and the team feels more like a group of friends than just coworkers. Whether you're into gaming or just love a dynamic environment, it’s an awesome place to be.

On quieter days, once all the tasks are done, the management is pretty flexible, and you can even catch up on homework or personal projects. They really value balance and make sure the job is enjoyable. If you’re looking for a fun place to work, where you can make great friends and have a bit of downtime on slow days, MontVR is the place for you!

I worked at MontVR DIX30 for a while, and while it's true that Saturdays can be really fast paced, seeing customers with a big smile after trying VR was a highlight. I didn't mind the busy days, though sometimes we could have used one or two more people on the floor. The manager was aware of it and trying to recruit.

I left on good terms and might come back in the future. I went as a client recently and I was impressed with the changes, it seems like most things that bothered me when I worked there have been completely worked out.

It started well, the staff is awesome. It was a fun experience that turned bad, very quickly. The center is a ghost town most of the time,and we have no hours,they always get cut. Now with covid is even worse. Management is non existant. Stations always out of order, the free roam always has issues. The client are nice enough but when the stations are down and you have reservation, client tend to be maf, with reason. I say post on Facebook not too long ago about the fact that we are family in Mont VR...that is untrue. We are number to management

It can be pretty crazy on weekends but at least the time passes quickly. If you are able to speak to people with ease, and have basic gaming/computer skills it'll be easier mind you. During the week it's super relaxed and you can do your homework as long as your tasks are complete. Since adding arcades, it's way easier to keep clients happy if there are any bugs in VR.

A typical day here at MontVr would be first of all greeting the exceptional staff in which you always have fun working with. The. You proceed to greet the customers and explain to them all the possible ways they can have fun here. You then leave your workplace with a smile on your face because of all the people you made happy along the day.
