A day may start with reviewing requirements for upcoming sponsorships and events that the company will be supporting or hosting within the community. Coordinating with Property Operation Managers, Assistants  and Leasing Specialist to coordinate schedules and signage and all specific requirements for a successful event.

Processing payments for donations, sponsorships and ads as well as Invoicing and senior staff credit card payments. 

On demand requirements from the VP and Asset Manger.
Prepare reports on budgets and quarterlies for all Eastern Ontario Properties under the portfolio.

A diverse team from A/P, Operations, Leasing and Property Management. Co-workers often attend team building fun events outside of work either organized by work or by individual co-workers.

Hardest part of work or in most work environment is communication with all the various department and proper direction for employees. This can be very frustrating and lead to miscommunications.

I enjoy working with my coworkers and being given the freedom to do my job that is moving towards sponsorship and tenant events coordination. 

I pride myself on getting the job done with a positive attitude.

Coquitlam Centre was a dream job for me. The environment, the staff and the retailers made it a wonderful place to come to each day.

However, the advancement process and the education support could have been a little more proficient and accessible. 

Much of the support for advancement was materialized from the general management stage, instead of through Human Resources Programming. The issues, I found lie with the arrangement to give managers autonomy for suggested advancements,which were based on personal feel. The issue with this type of unorganized advancement is the GM position had changed 3 times in my work time there - making for issues for ongoing education advancement support and recognition.

As a lasting impression - I loved working with a strong team. I loved working so closely with the public and the community as a whole. 

Morguard Investments continues to be a respected organization, to which I am proud to have been associated.

My typical day begins with answering phone calls and emails, along with dealing with clients and various contractors and vendors.
I enjoy interacting with the clients, finding new ways to problem solve.
Management is most enjoyable to work with, very hands on and willing to teach and share. Fantastic leadership, coaching and mentorship.

I enjoy every aspect of my job and enjoy being challenged, so it's difficult to pin point any specific thing that's hard about my job.
The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to work at and find solutions to any issues I encounter through the day, working on any individual or team projects presented to me as well as learning and expanding my knowledge.

- Entering cash receipts; preparing and completing bank deposits
- Invoicing tenants for various charges; making adjustments and reconciling tenants accounts
- Reviewing and maintaining the accounts receivables for 30-60-90-90+ overdue accounts by contacting the tenant's directly
- Reconciling general ledger accounts on a monthly basis

I learned a lot about full cycle accounts receivable that I didn't know already.

Management was very good, flexible when needed for work/life balance.

My co-workers were the best!

Not enough time in the day to complete my tasks was the hardest part.

Most enjoyable was the opportunity to challenge myself with my tasks.

typical day at work is a very busy one as we have a lot of guest that's in and out , contractors and well wishers. The building is a pet friendly place filled with all different breads on especially dogs . 

I ve learnt a lot working for this building beside the property manager and the super,learnt a lot about the by laws of a building ,about the different races and surrounding neighboringhood.

my hardest part of my job is not knowing what will happen when I'm not there what I will miss but I trained a team of professional that would help me keep the building and resident safe while I'm not there 
I ve had many enjoyable days at that location because everyone that lives there and there guest were very friendly and co operative,the actually help make our job easy and successful.

It does not matter if you show up on time or are competent enough to do your job, If you do not fit in the clique or if anyone in the "inner circle" has a problem with you they will gang up and push you out. 

You'll Be put in positions where you're set up for failure, unnecessarily micromanaged, Have belittling comments thrown at you and if you dare to push back they'll spread rumors about you and fully ostracize you. 

The Lunch room and control room is especially toxic, nothing but unnecessary gossip and belittling comments made towards other staff and departments.

It's too bad because the main Edmonton location has a nice facility and a good preventive maintenance program but don't expect to last long unless you're hired based on nepotism or favoritism.

During my summer as a legal intern at Morguard, I had an amazing experience. Being at a renowned real estate company, I got to see how the legal side of the industry works up close. The team at Morguard is super smart and helpful, always giving me chances to be involved in different legal matters and learn about real estate law practically. What impressed me the most is how dedicated they are to doing things ethically and putting clients first. It's a fantastic place for any aspiring legal professional to learn and grow. All in all, my time at Morguard was a fantastic learning journey, and I'm really thankful for the opportunity to be part of such a respected company.

A typical day at work is dealing with administrative, tenant, operational responsibilities.
Access to support, ongoing training, education is what you would expect from working within a corporate environment.
Poor workplace environment. Poor management. Lack of work ethic is ongoing.
Very difficult to accept the deteriorating factors of the work place and property. 
Enjoyed some of the connections , relationships developed during my time there.
Don't anticipate change will be occurring in the short or long term.
Dissatisfied tenants, customers.

Working with Morguard in Parkland mall was pleasant. Management is alright and easy to work with. Very flexible with accommodating to individual needs while assuring equality in the workplace. Laid back environment made it stress free, but with low traffic in the mall and food court made the hours feel longer.

Everyone looks towards a move outside the company.

Long-term employees are the ones that rule and they are supported by management.

If you find many long termers, they're happy with the compensation and have no desire to move up the ladder.

Policies and procedures need a complete overhaul and well as the archaic reporting systems.

Make sure you get your reference letter before you leave...nasty comments always follow a "no desire to extend contract"
