The NewRoads Automotive Group is an amazing place to work. From the moment I started working there, I felt like I was a part of a huge family. Even with seven different dealerships and hundreds of employees, there is a strong sense of love and community. 

Upper management demonstrates its belief in the importance of its employees by offering trips, prizes, and awards to employees who perform, work hard, smile, and help others. 

The group is also really active in the community, participating in and fundraising for about 100 events each year. 

The employee benefits are also really good. In addition to what some other companies have, if you belong to a gym, NewRoads will pay for part of your membership each month. The company also has a program in which it matches its employees' RRSP contributions. 

The Group also has a trainer who works on different skills with different people to ensure that we are always growing and learning. 

My job at NewRoads really just gives me the sense that I matter, which is more important than most businesses realize.

I was genuinely excited to work for this company and dealership as the general manager is a female. I did enjoy working with several of my colleagues. However after a few weeks I realized that this company says they care when they truly do not. My direct manager did not make me feel supported. There is a lot of favouritism and hard work is not recognized. The pay is just above minimum wage. You do not get overtime which I understand to a certain extent however working almost 55 - 60 hours a week is unreasonable. Most of my colleagues have been there for years and may find the working conditions acceptable but they truly aren’t. It’s a big company with many dealerships and so you are just another employee to them.

I held many positions with employed with the NewRoads Automotive Group.  I was responsible for all accounts payable and receivables. I have always been dedicated to provide excellent Customer Service, and was the Project Manager for Quality Management, reviewing all processes within the operations of the Dealership, documentation, and communication.  Processes were audited, and improvements recommended, trained and evaluated.  Continuous process improvement was an essential part of everyday.  As a Service Advisor and Warranty Administrator, I reviewed work orders for accuracy, and validated claims prior to submission.

I joined NewRoads 2 1/2 Years ago, and it is safe to say it was one of the best choices I have made in my professional development. Working Reception has been a very engaging and fulfilling experience for me, and I can genuinely say I would not want to work anywhere else. My coworkers are dedicated and hard working people, and inspire me to be the same. NewRoads is very community oriented and actively strives to make York Region a better place. The interest in our community is something that drew me to NewRoads. My time here has been amazing, and I look forward to my future here as I know that I will be able to grow immensely with the support of my coworkers and the management team.

In the many years I have spent working within the Newroads Automotive group, I have always felt a sense of belonging and community. 

This organization is happy to help you grow in your professional career with continuous training and support. They are eager to promote employees within to higher rolls - I have always felt the sky is the limit to what you can achieve in this company with the right work ethic. 

Management is very fair and accommodating. They understand the importance of the "work/life" balance and try their absolute best to accommodate any requests. 

It's been a joy being a part of his organization for the years that I have - looking forward to many more! 




I have been working for NewRoads for almost 5 years now and in my 20 years work experience this is one of the best places I worked for. The company has a great values and culture starting from top management down to every department. I work in sales and it can be sometimes challenging area however our team with managers on top makes the work seem easy and very enjoyable. I appreciate the fact that we have been given lots of training which helps improve our sales techniques and customer service. The salary is also very competitive. 

The staff at Subaru (Sales/Parts) were extremely nice
and helpful. Always there to answer questions and
offer a helping hand to eachother which was shocking
for a competitive field. Enjoyed working with them.
Management on the other hand was horrible.
Extremely degrading and unhelpful. After formally
complaining to a part owner of the company about a
manager making me uncomfortable, I was let go of.
Not an environment that encourages growth and
empowering women. As the only sales-woman at the
store I was able to experience firsthand manager's
demeanour towards me as opposed to the men. Very
unfortunate treatment. Work on reevaluating your
managers and their childish jokes.

Working at Newroads GM was easy going and stress-free.  Phone calls at reception came in at intervals but often stayed quiet during the weekday shifts.  Saturday's were busy during the morning and afternoon but was very quiet and boring in the evening. Management was wonderful and the employees were kind but very determined to make sales.  The hardest part of the job for me was being around coworkers that were significantly older than me and having no one to talk to.  The most enjoyable part was being able to interact with customers via phone or in person if they visited the showroom.

One thing that always comes to mind when I think about NewRoads Automotive and my team here is that everyone works together from upper management to the floor. The team is filled with goal-oriented individuals that I believe care deeply about one another. The company involves itself in the community through events, donations, or just showing up! I can definitely say that the car industry is not always the most welcoming industry with many barriers to entry and success however the company culture and focus on people really eliminates most if not all of the negatives you hear about the car business.

NewRoads Automotive Group is a great company to work for.  The owner of NewRoads Automotive Group s generous and very down to earth.
We have meetings first thing in the morning and midway through the day.  All dealerships within this group are treated well and fun events are planned for each dealership individually as well as all together as a group.
Hardest part of the job is advancement from within and the most enjoyable part of the job is all of the events they do as a group.
