After I begun my employment with this company, I experienced a health crisis, I provided doctors notes for this due to frequent absences due to illness and doctors appointments I was fired instead of being allowed to go on medical leave through our benefits provider this was after having documentation from my doctor that I was ill and was going to need an extended absence. I am still in the midst of my health crisis and am still on medical EI because of it. I feel I was treated like garbage during the toughest period I am going through in my life. 

Their upper level managers are actually very nice people and know there stuff but I can say the same for the lower level reporting manager I reported to who was unkind and snappy with me from the get go when I was in training. 

They have aspirations for " world domination" in the insurance world but they do not have any cohesion between their claims department and the brokers/accounting department which is all under one roof. Their systems badly need to be updated if they do truly hope to compete with other major insurance companies from a claims stand point I had mentioned this to one of the partners during my time there. I feel many of the struggles I had during my time at this job were due to the systems being used were not designed for their use. 

In summary I was made to feel lke they just did not care about my well being and I was made to feel like I was doing something wrong or was a liar and I was neither doing anything wrong or lying I legitimately am not well. 

Also they did not pay me the legal severance pay I was entitled due to the length of time I was there. I currently do not have the energy to fight them in court for this.

In my experience, a typical day working for Seafirst is enjoyable and encouraging! You feel a sense of support and understanding from your team and management! I have learned that if you work hard and do great work you will be recognized for the effort put in! The management at Seafirst put their staff first and make you feel appreciated and supported every day! Although the environment can be fast paced at times, the culture is stress free. One of the most enjoyable parts of the job (besides the wonderful group of employees) is that there are many opportunities to grow within the organization! Applying for a position at Seafirst was the best decision I could have ever made for myself. 

Working at SeaFirst Insurance has been an amazing experience for me so far. The team is friendly and fun, leadership is committed to supporting staff and providing a good work environment. From my onboarding to this day the leadership has always been very supportive, I do feel that they set me up for success. 

The company is very engaged in community support and will go out of its way to help, we don't see this often in companies. Many clients became friends and know the owners by name, this shows that they are really engaged with their clients.

Staff engagement is really important here as well, so events and fun activities for staff pop up quite often. It's a fun place to work!

It has officially been one year since I started my Seafirst journey and it has yet to be anything other than extraordinary! This company continually exceeds their commitment of being a great employer and workplace. They offer competitive wages, great benefits, are constantly offering opportunities to make more money and/or try new work roles/positions, they keep work life fun by offering games and challenges, and if that’s not enough, they show their appreciation by way of heartfelt gifts periodically throughout the year. Working here you feel appreciated, and in the end, that's all that matters.

I was green to insurance when i joined Seafirst. everything i know today i learnt there. my team , my supervisor , manager and owner they are all well educated and they support you like a family. whole Seafirst works like a big family . there is nothing hard , Seafirst is always there to guide you and help you achieve your goal. every other month you will see office lunches, they appreciate your work with dinner for whole family,there are many more thing they do for you. they do lot of charities every year which makes you even more prouder to work for them . they also pay  for your continuous education which is great.

I have found SeaFirst to be one of the best companies I have ever worked for.  Co-Workers are friendly and accepting and management really seems to care about you as person.

I have been paid well and the benefits package is excellent.  There is a Social Committee that set up games and other fun events that really help us gel as a team.

I find my work fulfilling and enjoy pretty much everyday that I am doing it, the company has been very flexible and worked with me to make my experience better and to achieve my goals.  I highly recommend working for this company.

The corporate culture is supportive and inclusive. The company plans fun social events or activities usually monthly so you always have something to look forward to. Management is knowledgeable, appreciative and have an open door policy. The work environment is exciting, encourages teamwork/volunteering and has really great people that have been with the company 25+ years.

I have been in the business for 15+ years and this is the best company I have been employed by. The size of the company makes you feel like family. Their attitude for the staff isnt that the customer is always right, which makes you feel your opinions are valued and appreciated.  There are lots of staff perks and the benefits are one of the best I have had. They are not about pushing the work through as much as it is about doing what fits our clients need. 

The management team is wonderful and extremely supportive. SeaFirst is committed to the growth of any employee that shows an interested in growing. There is lots of opportunity to further your career. Upper management is accessible and open to new ideas. 


Not much to say except the management are not management material.  Low class and trashy.  Rest of the staff are clueless junior high wannabes because they can't amount to anything higher or worthy.  

Stay far away.  Not a successful company .
