Paperwork and administration: Like most healthcare jobs, documentation, reports, and dealing with insurance can be overwhelming.

Time management: Therapy sessions need to be efficient and individualized, which means therapists must be skilled at managing their time across various clients and responsibilities.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Can be great, everyone is like family together.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It involves a mix of hands-on therapy sessions, documentation, and communication with families and other healthcare providers.

I wish I had more positive things to say about this company, but unfortunately, I don’t. Every day, I left work feeling drained, not because of the kids I worked with, but because of the staff dynamics, especially management and higher-ups. This job offered ZERO job security, ZERO consistency, and ZERO support. After the time I put in, I expected to be valued and for my concerns to be taken seriously, but that never happened.

While some staff members were truly amazing, the higher-ups showed no real care for their employees. I was repeatedly misled with false promises, which is the only reason I stayed as long as I did. I witnessed countless staff being neglected and unsupported. Leaving this company was the best decision I ever made. Honestly, if the job market weren’t so slow, I’m certain even more people would leave.

More than half of what families pay goes straight to the company while you're barely given anything to even survive. Upper management isn't helpful and there's little to no training. They will let you shadow other employees with completely different clients and programs than yours. You'll be expected to know all programs and work with your clients from day one. Management doesn't have your back - seems like they don't care about the children either because they want them to keep working for all the time they're there. Lack of understanding around child's needs. 

This is the worst company to work with. Extremely unprofessional staff who don’t help their BI at all. I was not given enough training at all whatsoever. The staff also claim to not let sick kids come into the offices if they’re showing symptoms but do anyways. I was also let go of my BI position without them telling me I was let go because I didn’t answer a phone call from them not knowing it was them calling me. Did not leave me an email, voicemail or even a text message. I can only count on one hand the people that were most helpful but everyone else were the worst. 

I applied to this company because of love working with kids and it would have been amazing experience for my career path. However they did not give me nearly enough training and when ever I asked for it I would be ignored or referred to someone else and ended up never receiving it. They scheduled me even without training and that is completely unfair to the parents who pay money just for someone untrained to teach their kids. The scheduling was a mess and unfair. Multiple sessions were canceled last minute with no notice or pay. Company is a mess.

 I feel immensely supported by my manager and amazing colleagues. To be a part of a team that works together and who makes me feel valued is a bonus.

I've learnt that I am not ‘just admin’ - I am the face or the voice people are greeted with when contacting our clinic, which is an integral part of a family’s journey through the healthcare system. I feel privileged and honored to work at Symbiosis

Pay is low. They bill families at a high rate then pay staff less than 50%. Absent leadership and senior staff have no time. Everything is a fight. Most places give you time to prepare. Even pay raises are hard to come by. Staff are miserable but stay so they can gain experience and apply to education programs or because they are immigrants. 

I came in the company hoping to learn and give back. The staff are nice but overworked. They try to support you as much as they can but they have large caseloads. 

I was new in the field as a Behavior Interventionist and knew nothing regarding how to work with children. I had a great supervisor and learned the steps as required in any job. 
I feel most negative reviews written are by staff who leave as they might get $5 extra somewhere else and mostly are school students who just want to earn some money.

My experience with Symbiosis has been wonderful. Yes after COVID every business has challenges and staff wants the same work culture  (work from home)) and flexibility as COVID period which is not possible all the time when working with Children with special needs.

I had good training as well as support from all the staff including my supervisor and management.
