Before 2025, It was once a great company to work for, but only at the Vancouver office. The teams in Marketing, Product Development, Finance, and HR were nice, supportive, collaborative, and enjoyable to work with. The older original leaders  created a positive environment with strong mentorship and a fun healthy workplace culture. After 2025, the company has gone downhill, frequent lay-offs, frequent leadership changes and firings, the environment became  toxic, unstable, and chaotic.

The team in Vancouver are hands-down, one of the coolest and nicest people to work with. That’s what made the company great and unique.

After 2025, my experience changed significantly after new leadership was brought in. It became highly political, ego-driven, competitive, and less collaborative. I worked under leadership that often took credit for team contributions, rarely showed appreciation. I was removed from important meetings, taken off projects, sidelined from core responsibilities, and excluded from areas I previously led, which negatively impacted my overall experience.  

The Toronto leadership and sales environment was particularly horrible to work with. Very negative and unpleasant robotic culture. There's tons of frequent leadership changes, seasonal layoffs, and there's no job security here, unless you are a "personal friend" hired of the company, they are protected. 

As a new immigrant looking for a stable job and life, I couldn't have asked for a better job. My day goes by smoothly. My job is challenging but there is never unnecessary pressure from the supervisors. They are very understanding and accommodating. 

The one thing that I absolutely love about my job is the people I am working with. They are kind, honest, genuine and nice people. They are my family here.

I have learnt so much at this job that the list is too long!

I do not find anything in particular about my job that I would term as 'hard' or 'difficult'. However, I do find myself a little helpless because a lot of third parties are involved and thus I am not able to update my customers with the latest information.

I find my job very enjoyable overall. I cannot wait for Mondays so that I can go back to work and the entire week just flies by.

In short, I am super happy and satisfied at my job.

The Peak culture is work hard, but have fun doing so!  Everyone's very busy - the workload is typically pretty large - but because you're treated so well and the support from the team is so strong, it's not a problem.

We have a lot of very tenured, committed managers, which we all appreciate, and we're especially aware this is a company which is going places.  We all want to be part of that growth.

The partnership with Home Depot has really helped put Peak on the map, only this means the expectations for 'best in class' service delivery are very high.

Peak respects everyone's need to strike an appropriate 'work/life' balance, which is appreciated, but generally speaking I see everyone being very committed to their work, and their team.

The office is also conveniently located - lots of free parking available and we're close to shops/restaurants.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Excellent company. Well managed with very knowledgeable, well trained and approachable people. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For me there was little stress. Working as a subcontractor meant that I needed to complete and be paid for what business I created. I was paid no salary but that was and still is my preference. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone was approachable and friendly from my standpoint. I was never actually ever at the head office but the small sub office was well run and a good place to visit when necessary. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was an inhome salesperson. I seldom visited the office. Leads were provided and I managed them in terms of appointments and selling. Sales also included scheduling, work orders and product choice.

I've been working for more than twenty years in various employers, I'd say Peak is one of best employers I've ever worked for. The company is very goal-driven and it cultivates team work that promotes great cross-functional learning opportunities.  Employees are hard working, responsive and dedicated, and they are fun to work with!  

It's great to see that some colleagues have been happily working here  for 5, 10 to 20 years, while new opportunities are also available for great talents like experienced professionals and university students.  The best part is they all work well together, whether it's for work-related projects, or in supporting charitable activities and team events!  It's a pleasure to work at Peak!

I have learned many tasks working with Peak installations, this is where I have obtained most/all of my experience in the administrative/ clerical background. 
A typical day would include tasks such as installer invoicing, sales representative invoicing, filing, organizing along with other various tasks and duties. 
The hardest part of the job would be the limitations. I would love nothing more than to help the clients more than I can, however as the project coordinator I can only do so much without manager approval.
The enjoyable part is when I am able to do what I can and things co-ordinate well with clients and everyone is happy! Also knowing that the installers can count on me when they need advice or help is a great feeling.

I have never seen or experienced such a wonderful, fun, family atmosphere until I started working for Peak Installations. Like a true family, they would accommodate your needs and facilitate your requests to the best of their abilities. Like a business, they would pay you respectfully for your hard work and keep things professional yet eventful at the office! The co-workers I have dealt with outside my workplace (other call centers or offices), are all brilliant human beings who would share my silly demeanor and boisterous outlook on life through the phone, and tag along in my nutty humour. What more could an employee like me ask for?

I am lucky enough to work with a great team: from the owner, John, to my direct supervisors.  Being a mom of 4, I have yet to have any issues with my work/ life balance.  The culture at Peak Products is very positive.   I would know because I had to leave the company years ago, to have my children, and was lucky enough to go back.  I am not the only employee that returned to Peak Products. That in itself says a lot. I was happy to find a lot of my old collegues from back in 2011. Short of being self- employed, Peak is a place I would recommend to anyone. 

Pros:

- Management is good to work with and work for, smart and quick to act, 
  fairly open-minded and flexible
- Management is able to give clear direction, not much sense of hierarchy, 
  team-work oriented culture
- Value and respect employees' contribution and their talents
- Mid-sized company with great potential to grow
- Education funds available for employees who want to advance
- Colleague engagement events, e.g. bowling, BBQ, U-pick etc.

Cons: 
- Benefit packages are less attractive compared to larger companies. e.g. 
  no RRSP matching contributions
- Servicing only one main customer

Peak is a fast-paced environment where you'll learn lots and be very hands-on. At the same time, your leaders are supportive and working right along side with you so if you have any issues or experience any challenges, they're extremely understanding and do their best to assist you. If you're looking to develop new skills and experience a wide array of opportunities, Peak will be a great place for you!
