It's really hard just getting up in the morning to go to work. The coworkers are nice for the most part but there are cliques in the office. Some mean girls that just gossip and talk so rudely about others in the office. All management cares about is getting money. Training sucks you're constantly asking questions to your supervisors who just look at you like you're stupid and should know the answer. You're treated like you're stupid if you call in and miss a day. The phone side of the job is horrible and stressful. People are extremely rude to you over the phone no matter how nice you try to be. It's emotionally draining and there's never any talk in the office about mental health or emotional support for this. The pay is trash for what we put ourselves through. People suffering in a collection agency deserve at least 15/hr. Working at a collection agency has honestly had me contemplating ending my life multiple times. There needs to be support in the office. Quiet spaces to be alone and calm down after a bad call and counseling support for free. It's the least they can do for their employees taking the abuse that they do.

Spoke to customers to negotiate payment plans and payment schedules that suit their current financial situation while still satisfying the debt
Kept customer files updated, recording times and dates that contact was made and noting information that customers had received about their debt

I didn't think that collections would be for me, I was hesitant to take the job at first, but it turned out to be the best choice I made. All the employees are encouraging, friendly, and helpful in stressful situations. Management is upfront about changes and decisions so you wont feel left in the dark. HR is very upfront, honest about the position, and approachable when you need to talk, will provide help through any concerns and ensures a safe workplace. The supervisors are motivated to teach you all the necessary skills and will communicate thoroughly with you about performance in a supportive way. Overall one of the better jobs I've had due to my fellow employees. Its intimidating at first but it doesn't take like to get in the groove.

Owner is extremely cheap and does not care about his employees. You will find yourself stuck with no room for advancement, its the same day in and day out. However, the employees there are all great people and will make your day decent. Financially, if you are on a good portfolio you can make an okay living (45k) but that takes time. The money they make monthly versus what they pay is an utter insult. I have seen the company make a million dollars in one month and if the next month isn't satisfactory, you get scolded like a child. Super unprofessional at times. Honestly, if you need the money or a job especially during these times do it..again you’ll be with some genuine people. Besides that, avoid this place. Pay your employees better - give them better incentives, make a better working environment for these people that line your pockets and you give them the bare minimums.

I loved the people, and my supervisors here! They are all amazing people with big hearts, and always open to chat, or give a hug on a bad day.

The biggest issue I had working here is that only a few teams are capable of making commission, but you are not aware of which ones till you are moved to them, without being asked.. So when hired they will tell you that there is opportunity for commission on every team, which technically is not a lie, but is misleading because its not the full truth either. 

So for almost a year I was making full time cheques, plus my commission bonuses, but then I was moved to a different collection team that has never made commission because the margins are so high. 
It does not give any incentive to come to work when your entire commission cheques are gone without notice, and no opportunity to go back to your original team..

Arrow Inc is a very good company and they educate every employee of how collection process works. They educate us about how credit works and teach us how to advise our clients to have a good credit score by paying off their debts. I personally learned alot of information for my own good benefits. The management was very helpful in every situation and teach us how to get our monthly targets in a successful. My co-workers were very friendly and helped one another regardless of the situation.  The hardest part the job was to convince clients to pay off their debts but as months went by I learned to communicate with clients and make sure they made payments on time. The most enjoyable part of the job was communicating with dealing different clients and learning that everyone have their own issues for not paying their debts off.

a typical day at work is to work on your files, then call debtors as early as 7 am for payments,I learned that not everyone can work at this kind of job,  by nature debtors are rude and mean,I admire those people who work on this  field,not everyone can tolerate or have patience dealing with debtors who swears and call u all the possible names that you cannot eat.The hardest part of the job for me is accepting what debtors call us on a lowest word, and yet we have no choice but to keep your mouth shut and let them insult you because your doing your job, it made me realized that I don`t need to be insulted, or swear at by this consumer just  to earn money, i have nothing against working with this job, and again I admire the employees there.

you work on a dialer. have to collect. when u do great they dont tell you good job.  its only when u do bad they come at you and give you coachings.   some days i was ready to quit some i toughed.  i worked 11 months there did not enjoy it to be honest.  Was so happy once i quit that place would never go back there. 
collegues are good good atmosphere the job can be easy and hard depends on the days and your mood.
when we asked for something it was bothering them like we ask to much. so management have a hard time accomodating employees.  
so i wont recommend ARO. there is a better place than them.

This is a terrible company to work for if you've ever had any prior work experience and/or education. On site owner is a loud mouth, degrading person whose only goal is to increase his net worth.  No chance to make any money without 'bending' the law and rules; managers pretend not to see it..wink wink...just following the owners direction.

If the only job you've ever had is low paying, retail or restaurant trade then you might like this place, as that's how they treat people. Its all about the money you can make them.

I worked there for over 5yrs and while I was there; they reduced the commissions by 10% and did not give us a raise. Poor management and lacking in team support.  Its a great job if you know what you're doing; as they don't really train. Good luck; great job for in between jobs. They also are famous for literally stealing money off your paycheck and if you don't go to the labor board within 6mths, you wont be able to recover any monies. I have proof of this; so I am not defaming the company. They will not put anything in writing either! Good luck getting paid !
