Favoritism within management are extremely common here. They take no time to understand and help employees who are suffering from mental health issues from uncontrollable events outside of work. To make matters worse, employee gossips are very common here and management doesn't seem to do anything about it. 

Dear management, please be more accommodating to employees who are suffering from mental health issues. Please be more understanding of those with different personalities than the rest of the team. Lastly, please be less biased with different employees and treat everyone with respect. 

I've been working for Applewood for 3 years now and i cant imagine being anywhere else.  Fantastic culture from upper management downward, very forward thinking and innovating.  Applewood always tries to do right by its staff and is a huge believer in the Right Person Right Seat philosophy.  If you are the right person, they will help find you the right seat.  Lots of room for growth and advancement.  

No work / life balance.  Expectation is to work extra hours through the week and to come in on weekends.  Then a long weekend comes, and yet again you are expected to work. If you do not do the extra hours as expected you will be let go.  Accounting Manager offers no support and sets you up for failure.  Very stressful atmosphere as volume of work required for each employee is too great.
CEO offers no direction, but is critical of every move you make. He is either not in tune with his accounting department, or just flat out does not care his employees have no work/life balance.
It is not "All Good at Applewood" 

Management is amazing. The way they look at the operations is great. Forward thinking. Changing and adapting to market trends happens fast. Lots of laughs and tons of learning. You feel looked after and cared for by senior management. All of the stores within the group look after each other as one. Owner is removed from day to day so you’re dealing with corporate management only. The company is amazing. Everyone should work there! Best place!

If you were not part of the click group, you were made to feel horrible.  The things I seen a couple employees go into the bathroom to do things, and when reported to HR nothing is done bc said employee is best buds with general manager, and everything gets brushed under the rug.

When you are so stressed because of the treatment from management and it affects your mental health, no one cares to listen to you.  

Honestly for the work you have to do, you’re so under paid and not recognized at all.  

Culture is toxic, upper management is unprofessional, rules are changing every single day, fear is induced into the sales staff everyday for unrealistic expectations. Someone in their upper leadership team was fired due to multiple legal allegations. their accounting team group quit on one day. Their accounting employees are way over worked. Oh again, they’ll cut your pay over and over again. 

Applewood has so many roles that you will find something that you love doing. I always see Lot staff go into a sales role, into a management role. The company loves to promote within and fix their issues with their employees before they decide to leave. The Applewood Auto Group core values really shine through the employees working there. 

usually I am working on my own tasks, I get to plan my day in the mornings and finish my tasks which ever ways I feel whether or not thats replying to emails first thing or after lunch!
I feel a sense of belonging in my position where I know my work is important, I feel that I am a valued family member here.. I dont feel like I am replaceable or just another number in the company 

My two years with Applewood were truly transformative. The kind and caring managers, along with the positive work culture, made my experience immensely enjoyable and fulfilling. I am grateful for the opportunities for growth, the support provided, and the overall work-life balance that this company emphasized. I highly recommend this organization to anyone seeking a nurturing and rewarding work environment.
