I cannot speak highly enough about this company. They specialize in behavioural support, providing compassionate, individualized care for clients. They do it with a level of dedication that is rare to find.
The training provided to staff is outstanding. From day one, team members are set up for success with in-depth, hands-on instruction that ensures they are not only confident in their skills but also deeply attuned to the needs of the individuals they serve. This commitment to excellence shows in every interaction, as clients are treated with the utmost dignity, respect, and compassion.

I have been at Arcus for 3 yrs and I have loved every day of it. I came into the field with very little experience, but the training was great. The person who interviewed me when I was hired said that being a caring person was the most important thing and that the rest can be taught. :) My coworkers and management have always been very supportive and I have never felt alone. The clients are the sunshine in my day. It is so incredible to be able to be a part of these amazing individuals life! Yes, you will develop patience that you didn't know you had. You will also learn skills, develop friendships with some incredible people, go on super fun outings, and spend a lot of your day sharing laughs and feeling that you have made a positive impact in another humans life. What more could anyone ask?

This is hands down the worst company I have ever worked for. If you like to ‘do your job’ and do it well, don’t work here because bad behaviour is rewarded. Overall the company does not care about its employees and treats them very poorly (they just pretend to care and be nice but it’s fake). From head office / management down the company is just plain awful and beyond catty. The whole culture is based on how the people at head office behave and what is very clearly acceptable within their organization. I was literally shocked as to how poorly people treat one another in this company. Look elsewhere if you want to be happy and don’t waste your time with Arcus.

I've only been with the company a couple years, but the experience has been nothing but rewarding. I have the opportunity to work with some amazing clients. Sure, there are challenges working with vulnerable folks, but those challenges and seeing their progress is what makes it so rewarding. The people I work with are great, and I've found the management staff to responsive to questions and concerns. Overall, I look forward to growing my career as a care provider with Arcus.

This job is amazing if you work with the right manager, otherwise, it becomes a very toxic and stressful environment and you are expected to move to a different house if you and the manager clash. I enjoyed working with the client, but often I felt like my views were not heard unless I spoke about them in team meetings. Overall, there is favoritism on many levels because staffing or head office loved you if you took extra shifts and didn't when you didn't. It was too much to deal with an autistic client plus work politics and drama because often your own life also throws curveballs. I just feel like managers should be given proper thorough training in dealing with everything from clients, staff, and office work. 

Family values are big for the company. Everyone is super friendly and inclusive, they want you to strive. Sometime it doesn’t feel like work because you are helping someone have the best day you can. For the BIs you can take the clients out to events or do fun activities with them. You take care of the household like basic chores and cleaning and cooking but some days are very relaxed. It can sometimes be stressful but overall it is very rewarding. No 2 days will ever be the same.

A typical day at work would be waking up my clients, and either getting them to school or taking them on an outing. We assist our clients in a number of needs from showering, to get dressed to tube feeding. I've learned a number of things from this job, especially autism. I've learned that behaviour protocols are not just for manners but to teach the client skills that will make them grow. The hardest part of being a behavioural interventionst is watching the clients struggle with their daily needs but the most enjoyable part of this job is the clients. I love to help and I love to make them laugh with our friendship.

Most of your life is spent at work.  Play close attention to your gut and know this, YOU ARE WORTHY!  YOU ARE DESERVING OF BEING TREATED WITH RESPECT.

Paid trainings, very competitive wage, very family oriented, answer all your questions. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Staff in different houses mostly those staff that ready to retire 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depends which houses theres houses very strict and meticulous, theres houses dont care as long you do your job  done with care. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Depends on the staff your worming with casual are lazy no initiative to help

I have worked at Arcus for 3 years and I don’t think I will find any company with the same standards of care. The work is very collaborative between BI’s, Team Leaders, Program Coordinators and management and I always feel well supported. They strive to provide the highest level of care and Arcus succeeds in maintaining dignity and respect for the clients. There is absolutely room for growth within the company. Not only is it rewarding, it also feels like a family environment. There isn’t a work day that I don’t come home in awe of the positive impact Arcus is making for the individuals in their care.
