Working with another amazing group of people! What i've learned with working at Assisted Living is that people shouldn't make disabilities a barrier of communication or at work generally. I've leaned to understand people who was mute, especially with the lack of knowledge of sign languages, etc. Overall, it's honestly great to work with these people, the consumers, and the managers, especially. I still volunteer here and there!

What is the best part of working at the company?
I like the flexibility, pace of work and the worker

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I don’t know any. Everything is fine 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very good. Good place to work. The workers are cooperative and helpful 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Visiting different clients in the building and out reach, giving them the care they need

This was my first job out of school, I worked here for 7 years. In this time I learned so much from my fellow staff and consumers. My job was something I took pride in and loved very much. There isnt a day that goes by that I dont miss my ALSO family. I highly recommend this organization for any students and first timers in this field.

Staff are awesome. Working in a beautiful atmosphere

For me no stressful part at all

Where every worker will like to be

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Non stressed. Enough time is allotted for client care

I volunteered for a sub section of them that helps people with disabilities find work. They were very nice and helpful and extremely patient. What a nice change from the jobs I have had that were biased against people with disabilities. ALSO is a great place to get your confidence back.

Working at ALSO has given me more confidence. I met some wonderful set of people from managers to team members who are always ready to listen to your worries and be of help immediately.  I love my new place of work and am enjoying every bit of my new post because it always gives me joy to be able to help those in need of help too..

I loved my job and patients here, but there wasn't enough hours, the atmosphere was not very positive, and management does not support their staff. It was very difficult to move up in the company.

This is the worst most soul crushing job I have ever worked. Upper management is absolutely terrible. They degrade and belittle Frontline staff. No positive reinforcement given. They will take advantage of you until they don’t need you anymore.

I really enjoy my work, colleagues and consumers.  I believe there is plenty of room for advancement for the right candidates.  I would highly recommend this employer, it has been one of my favourite places to work.
