This company would be great if they let their chefs have actual input an create instead of letting the owners dictate menus. Every restaurant in this group has completely different standards and operating procedures, there is almost no oversight. They promote and hire staff for positions that should not be there. They pay well, but if you're line level you need to wait 2 years before you're eligible for benefits. There is staff accom available, but it's not that much cheaper and it is cramped.
Overall it's a fine place to work, but not for a long period of time.
The person the brought on as a culinary consultant is borderline abusive to staff, and their communication skills are non-existent.

I have been working with BHC for just over a year now, and to this day I feel so fortunate to be given this opportunity. To be able to love the work you do, work in what feels like a family, and contribute to your community - all while living in BANFF NATIONAL PARK is truly amazing!

they keep you from working enough hours to get benefits. you are lucky to work 20+ hours a week even in peak season. they love to over hire and always have an excuse for not giving you enough shifts. they penalise you for having two jobs also

I am grateful for all the people and things I have met. This company in Banff is definitely a worthwhile place to work.
If the management is more willing to listen and accept opinions, it can definitely be better

It’s a pleasure working for this company as it pays fair and it has benefits (healthcare and such). The management varies from different restaurant each have there own unique way to managing.

Excellent company to work for, would recommend. Friendly, family feel wherever you work. Every venue has great food with a variety of menu items. 
A very positive kitchen environment to work in! 

Large company with tons of opportunity to group if you are a hard working employee and motivated. Team members are like family. I love going to work every single day! 

Supportive team with good leader’s and great team mates. The learning opportunity is unlimited. Flexible scheduling and a lot of fun. Community oriented business.

Cons:You get lost in the numbers, hiring new Sous etc instead of promoting current workers.
Pros: Decent Tips. Nice coworkers [mostly] Would work here again .
