I found B2B a respectable company. Unfortunately, too much political correctness (extremely). They are designed to work on tribal basis. Each race/colour/creed/sex-orientation/political view has some kind of a tribe/tribe-chieftain. You're lucky if you work within the team lead by your chieftain. There, you will be in good care in term of advancement, overtime, after-hours dinners and overall support. If you fell outside of your tribe, could not be transferred to your tribe or unlucky to have a tribe, then, you're out of luck. They will not renew your contract, no matter how good you are. You don't get any benefits, salary increases, dinners, overtime, etc.. Their training is bad (although long). They assigned me to train (newer people) in my 3rd day of work.They send you an email about your mistake. No one shows-up and explains to you what you were supposed to do. Too many unqualified people hired (as minorities/creed/etc..). Management too biased toward minorities. HR do not advise you of complains started against you. They make decision against you and without informing you or asking for your side of the story. Thus you are blacklisted for ever and all your future applications are turned-down with no excuse or reason.

Alot weighs on the employees shoulders to change, but management is very resistent to change and constantly changing.  People in general are nice but new management has the attitude that everyone is replaceable.  Lots of discrimination to woman and not supportive of those with disabilities.  It was fun to try and change, but hard to get approvals on much needed changes, consultants which made $MM were often the advisors as management preferred to hear about things from the outside vs. thier own people.  They did not support or give credit for amazing work, it appears new management had alot of ego - as if they saved the day as the companys efficiency ratio is improving.  The hardest part of the job was getting approval and going through too hard processes with PMO office, the most enjoyable was trying to make the must needed changes.  The workplace culture is very unique - French English and many different types of business'  they throw around the one team slogan but often this meant that core teams were 30 people at a time and tough to move quickly.  Management either retired, got fired or went on stress leave and this has been going on for years.

If you want to start your financial career somewhere, this is the place to be. It will push you to discover answers to your questions by picking people's minds. Although the culture of B2B is not reliant on social interaction, if you come from a closed-off job to this, it makes for a good transition. It certainly will not help you improve your social skills if you come from a selling position and this job might not be for you. It is repetitive in nature and the instruction received, as well as training, is being conducted by people who have been in your position and learned the tips and tricks of how certain work assignments need to be done. Needless to say, not everyone is a good teacher so it creates confusion more often than not as two people can give different advice in regards to how to complete a task. Also, do not expect a raise before 1 year has passed, even if you are the best at your job. The words of the president still resonate with me: if you want to advance in this job and create a career for yourself in banking, you must be willing to answer questions others do not want to answer.

- Extremely micromanaged environment - Lack of good quality training, they expect you to know everything even if its not on their procedures, this sets up for employees to fail esp if your an external hire. 
- team members are not willing to help you 
- Manager will expect you to be perfect on your first year as a new employee or esle they will write you up. Even if you make mistakes as a new employee(as an external hire), they will take account into that even though your training. - Manager is too focused on the negatives weather than the positives that you do. Due to this, they will more likely write you up...Job insecurity is very high - Toxic and incompetent manager who hardly knows their job and relies on their team to know everything and that goes for new workers as well. - Too much favoritism. - if you have team where they worked more than decade, getting vacation approved and days off would be next to impossible.  Until they used up all their vacations...Then you will get a chance! You literally cant get vacation at your own time but rather than the manager's schedule or you won't get it.....

Technical environment: Windows XP, Rumba, ACCESS, EXCEL, SQL, outlook, C2 Tool.

- Preparing operating and maintenance manuals, catalogs, parts lists, assembly instructions, and project proposals. 
- Conception of Web pages with: PHP, ASP, FrontPages, WebExpert.
- Survey in UML for the continuous assessment of the professors of the UQAM via a Web page, as well as a survey on the e-learning. 
- The security of the electronic trade while using the different protocols of coding and decoding (SSL, RSA, DES…).

orking there is working at the prison no team work. no ethics, Managers force the employees to work 2.50 hours every week for free with no pay. They keep increasing work load in some departments without enough employees.

 

 

Other departments pay their long time employees to socialize and harassing other employees. Management needs improvement as they are rude, disrespectful, unfair and lack all kind of managerial skills.

There are lot of favoritism in the workplace is exactly what it sounds like: favoring someone not because he or she is doing a great job, but for reasons outside of the job performance. ... Oftentimes, favoritism occurs when a manager and an employee have developed a friendship beyond the workplace.

 

HR do what managers tell not what is they suppose to do. They are not supporting the employees.

 

There is no respect or values at this place

Typical day at work involves intensive processing of various types of worktypes. Working in the Mortgage Administrative Department, I learned to process renewals, payments, payment-payouts, discharges, anti-laundering trainings etc. Management is great at providing feedback and encouraging their team to improve constantly. Workplace culture is very straight forward, disciplined but also nice people to work with. The hardest part of the job is the required flexibility of having various starting shifts that change week-by-week, therefore, difficult to pre-plan for anything more than a month time. Most enjoyable part of the job is being able to listen to music while we work.

A fullfilling job environement with a lot of people skills required. This job presented many daily routines but provided me with many opportunities to use accumulated job skills to provide customers with above average service and quick results. The job allowed me to utilise full branch lending limits to fulfill the borrowing needs of most customers in a professional and efficient manner. Management was extremely dedicated and helpful when needed and co-workers were all dedicated to their particular job descriptions. The most enjoyable part of this job was the ability to help customers achieve their financial goals from financial assistance to help them build their dream homes to buying their first car. This was a very rewarding and yet challenging job.

The sole and purpise of recruiting newcomers in this company is to take advantage of them.
After planning to layover every unionised worker in Quebec, they are just hiring new comers with a very low salary, temporary contracts and not a single incentive or advantage. Yiu need to be permanent to get anything and to be permanent is just very difficult.

There is big potential of growth and learning but it is just wasted by incadescent discriminative old ways managers who only got there by staying and waiting, sometimes it is hard to just explain the simplest concept or idea and you will hear comments and critique that will push you to just keep quiet and not bring your ideas to the table.

Working remotely is always completely different than a office evironment. Somehow my management team always make it feel like we are part of a bigger team. In my role I focused on educating my clients on the value of managing there clients debt load and giving them an oppurtunity to realize there goals simultaneously. Utilizing my public speaking skills and relationship management experience I  built a strong referral network of clients. My collegues I hold in the highest regards as they too also focused on doing what is right for the client and the company. The most enjoyable part of the job for me is knowing every night when I go to bed that I am doing my best to help my clients and their clients to reach there goals.
