As an SR&ED analyst/consultant in the medical field, my job puts me in contact with the top health care professionals across Canada. I have the opportunity to directly work with physicians, clinics, and research organizations to compile their claims. My role is split into three sections; client facing (where I interview clients about their research), technical writing (where I compose project write-ups describing the systematic investigations that were undertook), and financial (where I work with the clients and their accountants to maximize their claim value). This role is extremely engaging for those who like to challenge themselves and gain new skills. There is a steep learning curve, however, if you put in the work you can advance your career quickly. Management is supportive and the workplace culture is overall a positive one. The hardest but most enjoyable part of the job is having to learn a niche industry. I enjoy the people that I work with and genuinely look forward to going into the office.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Free parking and the non-management staff.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Management is pushy and inconsiderate of work-life balance.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Toxic management (although the CEO is a subject matter expert with awards from a decade or more ago which are longer relevant) the overall company is scrambling, disorganized, and exploitative. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stress, long hours and unreasonable. The other reviews are maybe forced because overall from the front desk to the top associates are stressed and poorly compensated. Might as well be working for minimum wage at McDonald's.

This budding company created a comfortable calm working environment. We had a certain amount of work each day and once completed we were allowed to finish school work or other personal work. We had an hour paid lunch, free coffee, several pizza lunches etc. The Supervisor and upper management seemed to have some internal conflicts every now and again but It never affect us in the media department. We were always treated with respect and patience even though we were new to marketing and professional office environments. They would even ask for our inputs on their methodologies in the hopes that we might improve the work flow. Perfect first endeavor for a co-op student. The office was clean, monitors and computers were provided, and everyone had their own desk setup.   

Bond consulting really is a wonderful place to work. The work itself in SR&ED is extremely interesting, though complicated at times. The services they offer are truly superior compared to what is offered in the market. 
The office itself is lovely as are the people. Lots of opportunities to learn new things from extremely smart people. The hours are never unreasonable and lots of guidance is given to new employees as they get their bearings. 

I feel extremely lucky for the opportunity to work with Bond. 

The firm lacks cohesion between different departments and what’s regarded as “well oiled” in reality isn’t. 

The firm is rapidly growing but mgmt lacks ethics and integrity. Monthly group huddles with cake doesn’t quite cut it. It’s typical corporate — exploitative and manipulative. A few people are particularly difficult to work and  the work culture isn’t too great. Maybe this will change with time, but given my experience there, it’s not a “job secure” place.  Be mindful of corporate politics. 

1) The work is very interesting and engaging. The nature of the work exposes you to many types of companies and the technical hurdles they encounter.  Extremely enjoyable if you have a curious mind.

2) There is ample opportunity to achieve the workload without sacrificing home life.  There are few client imposed deadlines, but they are easily managed.

3) The working environment is very friendly, inclusive and supportive.  The word "family" comes to mind.

4) The boss is approachable and accommodating.  She is always interested in hearing your opinions.

Client management and examination of eligible research
Financial analysis of expenditures, statements and strategic tax amendments.
Preparation of detailed technical reports, ranging from scientific food research to cosmetics.
Work closely with industry experts to ensure proper documentation of research.
Work with many NHP to produce technical writing on new and emerging natural health products undergoing NHPD approval.

Amazing co-workers and an overall great company to work for. I have been at Bond since 2015 and have learned quite a bit about the day-to-day operation of the company and the SR&ED industry. There are always new opportunities for learning and taking on more responsibility, all you need is a little initiative! I enjoy what we do and look forward to each day with this Team.

It is just incredible place to work at. Clean and spacious office, comfortable work stations, amazing colleagues and superb corporative culture. Peers and management are kind and supportive. No unnecessary pressure, though all services are kept at unprecedently high standard / level. Free parking.

Working at Bond was a great work experience. The president is very knowledgeable in the SR&ED program and works hard for clients. Coworkers were great to work with and it was a strong team atmosphere. Work life balance was good, and it was a helpful learning experience. I also thoroughly enjoyed the optional summer half day Friday summer schedule.
