Assisted with patient turns, mobilization and transport by supporting clients physically or with mechanical and physical lifts
Assisted residents with ambulation within the care facility and instructed them in the care and use of adaptive devices; fed patients needing assistance 
Diligently practice good sanitation and sterile techniques to avoid infection and the spread of contagious diseases
Maintained residents’ flow sheets, recorded bowel movement, weight, bathing schedule and change patient conditions; reported any bruises, skins tear falls etc. to charge nurse
Consistently exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families and visitors
Prepared and served nutritious meals and snacks to clients

This place is one of the worse places you want to work. Very toxic place as the previous reviews mentioned. You’ll have to walk on egg shells in other not to get into any trouble with management( they’ll kick you out for little things or make you miserable till you resign)Most team members are toxic and won’t hesitate to tear each other down to look good in the eyes of management. Management picks sides and think they’re better than frontliners till something goes wrong and gets pinned on you. Union is almost non existent/not helpful. Workload is more than what you’re paid especially working a day shift. Both managers and employees gossip a lot. And be prepared to work with people with zero work ethic and professionalism and management with bloated egos.

working with clients to develop life skills and become active members of their communities. management team not always supportive, very secretive. co-workers were fun to work with, great support from them. most rewarding thing is to see the accomplishments the clients make

With new leadership Choices culture is shifting and becoming more positive. I believe the new ED is doing a great job so far and a lot of frontline staff feel more heard and supported. 

By far the worse and most stressful place I have ever worked. Management think they are better than the front line staff and don’t care what is going on till something bad happens than they pin it on the staff! They pit staff against one another, and bad mouth other managers!

Everyday at work I feel motivated to be here. I enjoy the work life balance her and the support from management to do my job. 

The most enjoyable part of the job is connecting with the people supported and being able to support and help them.

Do you want your mental health downhill because of work? Welcome on board. This place is a toxic place to work. Workers at the frontline and managers have a bad gossip culture and lack professionalism. Some managers are dictators and be prepared to deal with an unjust management and bitter colleagues.

I like the training and work ethics. I provides holistic care to all the residence. The salary is okay. There is a job security and the management are very proactive as well. The work environment is multicultural and respectful.

Staff work with vulnerable people in tough daily situations. Staff are subject to abuse by management and clients . Staff live on a teeter totter of being in managements good books or bad books. Union is not helpful

Choices pays well, but the hours are horrible and as a front line staff your opinions are not respected. If you are interested in the pay cheque this job is ok. If you want to cry before you go to work everyday you should work here.
