The agency's feedback system, particularly after exit interviews, appears to have limited impact, with minimal or no reaction from management. This lack of responsiveness has hindered employee engagement and professional growth.

The introduction of new cultural practices has resulted in a significant number of professional staff members, who had previously worked for multiple years, leaving the agency.

These factual observations highlight areas of concern within CUPS's management practices and organizational culture. Potential staff members should carefully consider these facts when evaluating potential employment opportunities with the CUPS.


I started working as a MOA 2 years ago. They don’t have proper resources to train employees . They will keep you for 2/3 weeks & eventually you will get fired unless you can fit into the group. Not recommend at all. I quit my full time job when they offered me this position but they let go off me with in a month without a proper training. Managers have no time to train you, its just co workers. So if they don’t like you they will report the manager that you’re not good enough. Eventually they will let go off you within a month. I found the environment extremely unprofessional. 


But could be way better.
Good place to work if you enjoy helping others, lots of programs and resources.

To many complainers and practical jokers. Not a very mature staff.
Management could use some training on recruiting, ethics and promoting employees. Some employees do not give 100% and work 5-6 hr days and take too many days off leaving workload on others.

I mostly enjoy seeing someone move on in life after learning the skills to help them become a successful member in society.

Working at CUPS will be perfect for you if you love being overworked and underpaid. Upper management is completely out of touch with the realities of working on the front lines in this day and age, yet expect the front line workers to produce miracles. 
I don't know many front line workers at CUPS who don't have a second job of some sort because the pay is so abysmal. The benefits at CUPS are the worst I've seen at any non-profit. 
CUPS loves to promote mental wellbeing and access to integrated care on their social media channels, but couldn't care less if their employees have the same. 

CUPS is inclusive and encouraging, and the people I work with are intelligent, patient, talented, and supportive. I've worked at a variety of companies, and in my opinion, CUPS has the best culture. CUPS offers the most/best training across the sector and supports staff learning and development. My only "complaint" has to do with a lack of funding and/or government support, which greatly impacts CUPS ability to grow/sustain certain programs.

In the midst of a renewal where they are trying to clarify and adjust their service delivery. Results in a lot of grey area and lack of direction/clarity for staff. 
Communication is terrible, both within the agency and delivery to those accessing services. 
Pay is on the lower scale
offer a good work life balance
Not a lot of opportunity for advancement 
Upper Management is very approachable

If you are considering an MOA position- don’t. The only good thing about the medical clinic is the patients. Management is poor, lots of bullying and harassment. Great if you want a stressful, dead end job, and an anxiety disorder (just to go along with the other two faced MOAs)
On the other hand, the nurses are all amazing, as well as the physicians. Other teams such as care coordination, and C2C are all amazing with great team leads

I was a Volunteer at CUPS so a typical day for me was reviewing project documents and reports. Management was pretty relaxed - co-workers were quite supportive and friendly. My job was hard because there was sometimes lack of defined terms and directions.
The most enjoyable part was the contribution I made and the friendships created.

An excellent work place with lots of opportunities if you show incentive and ask.  Working with a  great group of people and a great cause, there was the chance to experience different roles in different departments and to learn so many new skills.   

The downside was the constant change wears on staff after a while and caused many to move on to other agencies.

The Nurturing Parenting Program is a Strength Based approach for low-income families.  CUPS is a very inviting place for families to learn and develop skills as well as a trusted place to bring children to accomplish the same. I strongly recommed this organization for both employers and persons alike.
