I hope this message finds you well. I feel obligated to share my recent experience working at  California Sandwich chesswood location, 
Regrettably, I must caution against considering employment at this establishment due to the exceptionally poor management practices. The managers exhibit extreme rudeness and misery, creating a toxic atmosphere that severely impacts one's mental well-being. Instead of fostering a supportive environment, they engage in frequent conflicts amongst themselves, further exacerbating the negativity in the workplace. The customers also noticed the workers fighting amongst each other, which is such a bad look.

Furthermore, there is a glaring lack of patience and willingness to teach from the management team, making it exceedingly challenging for new employees to thrive and grow in their roles. Additionally, THEY DID NOT WANT TO PAY ME PAY ME BECAUSE TRAINING IS UNTRAINED BUT THAT IS A VIOLATION OF LABOUR LAWS  

Given these concerning factors, I urge anyone considering employment at [California Sandwich CHESSWOOD LOCATION to carefully weigh the potential impact on their mental health and well-being before submitting an application. It is essential to prioritize your overall health and happiness in any work environment.


The management was terrible and hardly provided training for new staff members and instructions are unclear. Often times new members are overworked and abused by older staff members who are lazy and condescending. I personally witnessed girls who have been bullied out of the job and had full on mental breakdown during their shift. I would say the job environment is extremely toxic and can be destructive to one's self esteem. Furthermore, the breaks are very short (20 mins long)  for a typical 6 -7 hour shift and they even forced you to work on your off days. With that being said, the pay was fair and after every shift the staff equally split the tips at the end and staff are given free food for breaks.  Overall, I highly discourage anyone who wishes to work here.

A typical day at work included washing and cleaning tables, bathrooms, floors, counterspaces, packaging and preparing food and beverages.  In addition, interacting with customers, exchanging small-talk, enthusiastic presence and patience were all exercised throughout this job.  Lastly, fast-paced money-skills and multitasking were essential when dealing with customers and preparing product.

The job itself is not bad the pay ids minimum wage I only worked 4 or 5 shifts in complete misery the ladies are rude to you bad energy and bad  vibes staff is rude to customers talk bad about employees right in front of them they made me feel so horrible first job I’ve ever quit it 20 years they are bullies and they have bunch of different people train you and every does different so gets confusing toxic work environment 

A typical day at work would consist of cleaning furniture, setting up the cashier, taking orders fro customers and handling cash, credit cards, and debit cards. I learned how to use a cashier, improved my customer relationship, also learned how a restaurant functions. My co-workers were friendly and easygoing, they taught me how to run the business. Hardest part was cleaning up the kitchen, and the most enjoyable part was interacting with customers.

This work place doesn't follow labour laws (no breaks)! There are cracks in the kitchen floor, they were disorganized, and don't get me started on how unhygienic things were. Oh and the stock room you have to go outside and around back to access! Beware of the skunk back there!
You get a free meal during your shift though.

its fun!
on busy days it can be stressful, it would be nice if there were multiple makers.
all the workers are very chill and friendly amongst each other
management is fine a little disorganized but they are understanding.
pay is typical for the job.
food is yummy!

I enjoy this location. It has its fair share of pros and cons. But if you're a strong hard worker I would recommend this location. If you're looking for hard work in a fast pace environment then this would be a great location for that.

working here is amazing, the people are awesome and the job has many benefits, the pay starts out at minimum wage and it is a great place to gain experiences. 
i became close with my co-workers, and the managers are very understanding if you need a day off or schedule change. working here is a very good place and the food is amazing.
