At first it was just a job. They offer competitive wages, clean and modern working environment and the product they produce is impressive. Who wouldn't work there? 
After more than a year, I find that those qualities were just the beginning of the many reasons working at Cambridge Elevating was a great move for me.... My opinions are valued, there is room for opportunity and growth. They listen to their employees and make them feel heard. This is a big one for me and I noticed it soon after I started. I really like that you don't have to be management to feel that you can contribute to the growth and betterment of the company. They really support their staff , the community and those with an interest in continuing education. I have seen people recognized for their potential, trained and promoted. Too often at other companies, people work for years without their gifts recognized and developed. You are seen. The company is multicultural, inclusive, dog friendly, family friendly, just plain friendly and has good core values. The people are what make this company really great! And no.. if you read this far and are wondering..  I'm not getting paid to write this. Its Anonymous. I'm just very passionate about the fact that I have found a career with a company I respect and enjoy working for. Not just a job. 
The people at Cambridge Elevating are what make the place somewhere I feel good to come in to each day. All talented, down to earth, friendly staff with their own big personalities. I'm not saying we all live in bliss all day, every day, but the rare occasion when there is a challenge, we overcome those challenges in constructive ways. The staff is respectful and fun to be around. I can see that I am not the only one fond of where we work because you can tell by how people enjoy a good joke, celebrate each other and exhibit great attitudes toward the work and working together. There are always activities happening to bring us together as well, the management team works hard to keep good people, be approachable and connect with staff. We really do have a lot of fun while also selling, producing, designing, installing and servicing beautiful luxury and functional elevators in Canada and the US. Join our team! you wont regret it. 

There's a strong feeling in the air between underpaid field techs and over paid office people. With favoritism you can find yourself getting further faster or coasting your whole time there depending on what is said about you through the grapevine. You will learn alot about how to build their specific elevators , with a contract stating you cant go to a competitor (the only experience it is relevant to, as commercial is totally different) expectations to pay ratio is inadequate. One of the lowest paying elevator companies around, willing to take on people with zero experience and it shows as lots of the guys with experience from there, shouldn't be working there or in a similar industry. Everyone talks behind eachothers back, management included. They're looking into recording audio of the work trucks, and finding ways to go against their workers rather than for them. Working harder or going above and beyond will not get any thanks or praise. I'd say 30% of the company actually knows how to do their job correctly, as jobs are constantly having issue due to missing parts, negligence , and terrible communication through out . You will not get many raises at all unless you stand your ground and prove why and even then you will be disappointed. Many unsafe practices , that would be denied 100% . A good portion of the current workers are not happy with their job and feel stuck!   Would be a great job for a kid right out of high-school !

This is a family environment- but only if you fit their mold. 

Keep your head down, and DONT call-in... they don't accept excuses (doctors notes). 

Production is the bottom tier to them, and you've been warned- there is NO Human Resources department. 

EXTREMELY negative morale on the floor, especially towards the Production Floor Manager and between departments. It's not uncommon to consistently hear managers talking negatively about their workers or each other. Unfortunately, the company as a whole, and especially the Production Manager, appears that they "bit off more than they could chew" and would rather run the numbers than assure their workers feel safe and comfortable in their positions.

Quickly turning into a revolving door, this company had a lot of promise in the years prior... only to become like every other small business looking to increase their bottom line- uncaring, rampant with power-based bullying, and unfair wage.

Put it this way, I know of many people in every production department looking for better ways to spend their 9-5 right now... but if work is just working for you- you'll do fine.

I had the pleasure of working as an Electrical Assembler at Cambridge Elevating and I can honestly say it was a great experience. The company truly cares for its employees and has created a welcoming and open environment where everyone feels valued. Management is approachable and always willing to listen to any concerns or issues you may have, which shows that they genuinely want their people to succeed.

One of the things I appreciated most about Cambridge Elevating is their family-like atmosphere. Despite being a growing company, they have managed to maintain that small business feel where everyone is supportive and works together to achieve common goals. The people I met while working at Cambridge Elevating where amazing, and even though I'm no longer at the company, I definitely miss them. 

Overall, I would highly recommend Cambridge Elevating as a great place to work. Their commitment to their employees is evident in the way they conduct their business and the work culture they have cultivated. If you're looking for a company that truly cares and will support your growth, Cambridge Elevating is the place for you.

Very positive and fun work environment. We work hard and get the job done but everyone here is pretty friendly and likes to joke around so it makes the day fly by. There is a big emphasis on safety in the workplace which I like.  Many of the people who work here have been here for a long time and are like a big family.  I saw a review about attendance, its pretty common sense to have good attendance at work.  All the team members are important to getting the work done. Doesn't mean you cant take time if you need it, Those who make calling in a habit, probably aren't a good fit for our place here. We have a great team! Everyone helps each other out and there is always opportunities to learn new things and advance within the company. 
I would recommend Cambridge Elevating to anybody.

If you are looking for a long term placement, a company that you want to grow with, Cambridge Elevating is the place. Has given me and everyone else the ability to grow. The people that you work with at Cambridge Elevating, all get along, working as a team. It is a Family oriented company. A lot of Employees that have been with Cambridge Elevating for Years (5, 8, 15,.. years). 
I Highly recommend Cambridge Elevating.

C.E is NOT a commercial elevating company. They don’t offer apprenticeships or schooling. They have ok benefits and you will work either 4-12 hour shifts or you will work wide hours ending at anytime of the day. Installations of the elevator do not qualify for apprenticeship hours. If you live at home it’s a good place to work.

Small manufacturer with a family feel. Management loves employee growth and development. Employees work as a team. Team baseball nights, hockey/skating events, food truck days, special holiday celebrations, 50/50 draws, etc. Lots of joking around and laughs. If you have good attendance and a great attitude, this is the place for you. Yearly bonuses and reviews

They have a slimy contract they get you to sign after starting, it gives them the opportunity to fire anyone at any time for no reasoning. People in the office are directly invested with what is built in the back, with no responsibility for their numerous mistakes.

Go be a number in a small company that doesn’t give a hoot about their people, ministry of labor would have a field day!
They are lucky they have who they have and will never grow!
The engineering team need to learn how the entire production chain works!
