Camp Manitou

In our high school we have a camp trip for those from grade 10 till grade 12. It is for three nights and four days. In grade 10 I went as a camper and in grade 12 I got the opportunity to go as the cabin Leader. As the cabin I had the responsibilities of keeping my assigned groups in control and using leadership skills to involve them in the fun. Through this camp I have learned skills such as team work, communication, and time management.

Management is supportive and approachable. Interacting with campers and staff is so rewarding, and creating things for world games and seeing the outcome and excitement it brings is rewarding. 
Camp can be exhausting, mentally and physically. Staff can be cliquey sometimes, but most are incredibly inviting. 

•	Prepared paperwork and did other clerical work

•	Organized and supervised activities for Camp visitors

•	Set up teams to encourage teamwork amongst campers

•	Consistently maintained a positive attitude with campers

•	Was extremely punctual and worked well in a deadline oriented setting

•	Served food and drinks to every camp participant

if you have 2 months to kill and want a fun thing to do work here. if your looking for a proper job this is not the place. you get paid almost nothing for your job but the job is fun and has its perks.

Loved working at Manitou. People are so nice and friendly and a great family feel too the Camp. The structure of the camp is very good. Just be yourself and prepare too work hard but have great fun.

Instructed basketball to children of all ages.
Completed my Bronze Cross.
Was responsible for the health and safety of 16 campers. 
Instructed junior counsellors and counsellors-in-training on the responsibilities of head counsellor.

Camp Manitou is a great work place where individuals can grow and have fun as a team. One can progress within the company and build great relationships with Managers, Directors and colleagues.

Meet new people, have friends, have great moments! Go on camping adventures, play games, go to dances and teach individuals purposeful leadership qualitites

An awesome place to work if you like the outdoors and working with kids. Every day is something new and you are never bored. There is also the opportunity to work with the Hockey Academy or for the Jets.

Emotionally distressing and difficult to fit in with certain crowds, so find your people. Always a memorable summer though, could never argue about that
