Hands done the best place I have ever worked. They are so supportive, empathetic to your needs, encouraging. You are asked to work hard but they give you the tools you need to be successful and they reward your success. They also have done really cool things for the staff over the years: bought everyone a fitness watch, had a fitness challenge and flew winners to Vancouver for a chefs dinner, allow staff to attend conferences, take them to concerts locally and in Vancouver, brought in a famous artist to provide watercolor lessons... it goes on and on. I can't say enough good things about this company.

-they give all the tools so can be a success
-they gave me ample time to train so I can do my job
-every week we have a staff meeting to talk about what we are working on that week. 
-we play games regularly so we can build relationships with each other.
-we partake in team building exercises 
-HR believes in a true open door policy and proves it daily
-Management is fair and keeps communication open
-our social committee has regular fun events that everyone wants to partake in

Not the worst place I've ever worked, but close - pushy sales I feel take advantage of people desperate for training and work.  Very hard to fit in too, if you are not of a certain age, certain dress, certain lifestyle you will not mesh.  It is what I would term a "snob" environment so unless you are prepared to feel like you're back in school where the cool kids rule don't bother.  They do have great fun at some times though, their staff meetings include games and food so I'll give them credit for that.

Family matters dictated a move, unfortunately. If it wasn't for that I would have stayed at Canscribe until I retired. I found the work environment and everyone that worked there very friendly and helpful. The management treated everyone equally and were always bringing in goodies to eat, playing games in the staff meetings, hosting great staff parties. It was definitely the best place I have worked.

The office is clean and well kept.
Great starter  job for a career in education - you will learn a lot. 
Pay rate and bonus structure for the Admissions Position is way under average and position oversold. It is a  call center representative job. This jobs pay structure would be more appealing to work from home. The great people in the office are related,  are helpful and want you to succeed.

CanScribe is an amazing place to work. The team here is truly a support system, and moreover a family. Working with this team has made me better at my job, and a better person. 

Working here is fulfilling, you get to help students create a new path for themselves and their families. If you are looking for a career, and a place you can grow, you've found it.

Loved every minute of my time at this school and the practicum portion of the program totally prepared me for work.  The teachers were amazingly helpful and answered any questions or concerns while working through it.

There is no room for advancement, and wages were ‘capped” so no wage increases were given.  A high level of work was expected with no reward. You were not allowed access to your personal phone.

So many benefits to working at this company. Great environment, always lots of variety, work hard but have lots of laughs along the way. Open culture where everyone is heard and appreciated. Best company I have ever worked for.

I had to constantly call people who didn't want to be called that often. The amount of contact with the people that ask for information is a lot. Once you have been working there for a while you can make a lot of money.
