Management is always open to hear about the job and any ongoing upgrades required to maintain the highest level of customer service.Working alone is expected and allows you to focus on your ability to deal with any oncoming obstacles. The hardest part of the job is being able to maintain control of driving in bad conditions and dealing with irate clients. Dispatchers are not always aware of the job requirements and can hinder your ability to perform and maintain composure due to their inexperience with this type of work. with  The best part of the job is you can make each day as interesting as you want based on your desire yo achieve customer satisfaction.

I received inbound calls from members inquiring on status of their service & called members to  
      make them aware of any delays 
•    As a GTA dispatcher my responsibility was to answer drivers using the message screen, ask    
      drivers for ETA updates if they were close to going over the quoted arrival time, keep    
      members informed by calling them to tell them of delays or if a driver had arrived.
•    I learned how to dispatch calls based on the Grid codes as well as by utilizing driver watch 
      program installed on the computer
•    I would also dispatch priority calls on the highway, Call garages to find the availability of 
      Flatbeds or underground tow trucks for particular calls, warm transfer drivers directly to 
      members if we could not find member at the location provided in the call.

A typical day consisted of working from home full time. It was fast paced between 3000 to 10,000 calls a day. Run through fear at the company lots are afraid of loosing there jobs. Drivers and member do yell but thats the same at any dispatch job. Co-workers are nice and supportive. Management gave reviews based on if they liked you not the work performance. Many end up on short term disability or long term disability due to stress. Taught me lots about dispatch but I out grew the company. Also all your breaks and lunches are scheduled for you. If you work the 2pm to 10pm shift you could be taking a 30 min dinner as early as 4:30.

I went through 4 managers in just over two years, some were better than others and two were definitely positive experiences. The last manager I worked for harassed me and when I tried to contact HR, which I did 11 times, I only heard back from them when my HR rep showed up with this manager to terminate me.

I worked as an evaluator of hotels, restaurants, campgrounds and attractions. I travelled extensively throughout North America, but worked mainly in the north-east near Montreal. Great salary and defined-benefit pension plan, when I was there, with all car and travel expenses paid when on the road. My direct manager was exceptionally supportive throughout my entire career. 

When I worked at the CAA it was a really nice place to work. My manager was very efficient and understanding. I had small children and they were considerate of that.

My co-workers were all very nice and fun to work with as were most of the clients. The job itself was interesting and I gained knowledge that helped me upgrade my employment skills.

Unfortunately, from my understanding on chating with my friends from there, a lot has changed including the work environment.

A typical day would consist of logging into the CAA system and wait for service calls to head over too. On call, I would learn to unlock all makes and models with no damage, do tire changes to spare tire or patch and air up tire, refuel vehicles. Although I learned a lot on the job, the hours i worked and the pay i received had me disliking the job. Yet I am grateful for the experience I gained working on all types of vehicles, and for the knowledge i gained about them as-well.

I worked over - night shift. 
I learned all about Emergency Roadside assistance operation. 
I became supervisor after being there for 2 years, As I was part of management I am well aware that the decision that we take always consider workers benefit.  I worked in the over night shift so I will have limited resources to provide service however i will find alternative ways to help members. I enjoyed this challenge which thrived me to work.

CAA was one of the first Company initiated to implement the GW all application Policy Center Billing Center and Claim Canter and also Portal however their process was weak and was miscommunication between the Business and IT. Also my request as QA who assigned to production testing has been rejected so many times. They expected us to pay and use our own credit card in order to test on production.

I've learned how to handle most of car problem my own from daily drive
Office manager and dispatcher are very nice peoples never push us to do something we are unable to.
I'm glad that I can help those who needs our help, after we helped them watch member driving left us feel so great that we helped.
