You will be required to work on a wide dynamic of equipment often encroaching onto other skilled trades such as tool and die repair, plumbing, etc. Your day will consist primarily of reactive maintenance only while adhering to a vague lubrication regime. The infrastructure is not really in place for skilled trades, meaning you wont find tool allowances,training reimbursement etc. Management is primarily production focused and doesn't create value for skilled trades. To some extent, management has antiquated views of the current market demands and market values of skilled trades. All that being said there are also some pluses; you can enjoy straight day shift with occasional voluntary O.T., great production team member to deal with, challenges to find cost effective solutions for quick turn around and a generally laid back atmosphere.  All in all, this is a great job for someone who likes to typically punch in and punch out day everyday while doing a multitude of different tasks in a given day.

The Company is really helpful not just to the natives/citizen here in Canada, but also to us immigrants, all are respected even if were not the same culture. I was hired last February 2, 2022 as a material handler, even if I dont have any experience as a material handler they are there to support and trained you. The foreman's are all understanding you are not time pressured and your work is not in qouta basis. They are also paying us very well and gives us also a lot of overtimes, its really a great help to us who is starting to build a new life here in Canada. For me this company is not just about bussiness its also a family, a family thats there to help you and never put you down. I would really highly recommend this Company and im very proud to be one of the employees here.

Great people to work with, easy to get along with.  Management on the other hand not always easy to get along with.  If you are an easy going person then the day to day stress of mind games and the company plays won't bother you that much, but it will get to you.  The owner is very hands on, which can be good and bad.  If you don't agree on a punishment you can talk to the union about it but afterwards the company will make your life difficult.  Write ups not always warranted in my opinion, people make mistakes they shouldn't be punished.  A lot of interesting things happen it's like a big a high school soap opera. 

This company is only interested in workers, not employees. If you’re looking for a place that values your professional growth, input, or career development, look elsewhere. Backend floor workers may find the environment tolerable, but for office staff, it’s a nightmare. Management is dismissive and there’s zero regard for work-life balance. If you’re okay with being treated as just another cog in the machine, this might work for you. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.

My experience at this company was challenging, mainly due to inconsistent management practices during night shifts. I felt that expectations and accountability were not applied equally across the team, which created a frustrating work environment.

Communication from supervisors could be improved, especially when it comes to providing constructive feedback and addressing concerns fairly. I also found that support from management during personal or health-related situations was limited, and more flexibility would have been helpful.

Like many other manufacturing company, Cancoil is a fast-paced work environment. They observe their employee's potentials and they provide opportunities for us to experience working in different departments where we can learn different skills which are beneficial for our growth in the field of manufacturing. Unlike other companies, it does not take too long for employees to receive and enjoy their benefits in Cancoil. The best part is they have a friendly working environment and a culture of willingness to help each other with tasks.

This place lacks any life at all. The office is stale, the people don’t talk to each other. If you like to work and do literally nothing else while at the office then this place is for you. I lasted 1 week before losing my mind and wanting out. There is no fun here. Just a mind-numbing work, then break, then work and go home routine. 
Plus some of the internal processes are old-fashion. Printing off everything (even emails) and storing them in files, passing of hand-written documents between people etc. It is mind blowing the waste and uselessness of some of this stuff.


I’ve been with Cancoil Thermal Corp for almost 3 years, including my time working here during the summer. It’s been such a great experience overall. I really enjoy working in the office and coordinating with the production team on the shop floor.

What I love about Cancoil is that if you truly enjoy what you’re doing and put effort into your work, the company trusts you and lets you do your job. Management is very supportive and always ready to help. As long as you show that you’re willing to learn, you’ll feel valued and appreciated here.

If your willing to work ot you can make serious money here. but the pay structure is broken and doesnt balance out experience with work load. If you like wasting time looking for tools and never getting tools when ask for them this is your place. The hardest part is you treated kinda bad like your always stealing from the company. if you request a fan or extention cord they supply some but not for everyone... and during the hot months you are given expired gatoraid thts over a year old

My tenure under of Cancoil  is great and rewarding experience, working with the pride endowed to me with other workers. I have develop into a responsible and trustworthy individual. They very respectfully in for your nationality, skilled, gender, religion, ability and to your family. The workers and Management are friendly, approachable, kind, and helpfully. The work place environment is excellent which is you will feel that you are relax and  enjoyable when doing your task properly.
