Carter Honda is an amazing place to begun your career in the car industry. From having managers that genuinely invest time and effort into training their employees to amazing colleagues that you can be both friendly and competitive with, it's very whole as a workplace. My favourite part about the dealership is the vibe and energy you feel when you step inside. It makes you feel good and happy to be there, almost like being at the barbershop on a hot summer day. The culture is definitely unique as well and one thing that's amazing is the depth in diversity of the employees that we can credit excellent management for. I would definitely recommend visiting this dealership, especially if it's your first time purchasing a vehicle, they will walk you through the process every step of the way.

I would never recommend anyone work here, since it’s such as trash place. The owners are nice, humble but the management is garbage. If you want to get pay well and instant benefit, make sure you are the manager’s favourite. You don’t need to proof you’re worthy, they already judged you since your day one, but they will keep sugar talks to you. You know why cause they paid you lower than everyone. They will say things like they are watching out for you but all they see you are just a profit. It will be all of nice thing coming from there mouth, after all they just take advantage of you. Thank for a life lesson.

training it limited, feedback is limited. Management will tell you everything is fine, until they fire you out of the blue.

job with minimal direct responsibility, where you are expected to find extra things to do during your down time, but actually trying to add anything useful will get you told off by coworkers and management. 

Toxic work culture that incentivizes hiding errors and never admitting to not knowing something because it is taken  poorly and will be kept as an excuse to let you go if the established employees decide that they do not like you anymore.

lots of friendly and nice people, BUT the way things are managed is not like any other places, you barely meet anyone who stayed in this company for a long time (including managers) and definitely there is a reason for that, you get the Idea.

 And regarding pay, it's sooooo bad! just to give you a hint, THEY CHARGE EMPLOYE $2.5/PAYCHECK  for  COFFE !! even if you don't drink coffee, so you make the calculation working in a company that cheap! I could go on forever but it's a waste of my time.

The work culture is very disconnected and unorganized. Management changes the rules from one moment to the next and is extremely unpredictable and informal. 

No formal training and spontaneous unstructed coaching. What’s worse it that it’s extremely long hours and taking a lunch break is allowed, but seems to be discouraged. So much more to say but overall this is not a professional nor good place to work.

The payment is way under the amount of work performed. A couple of techs were nice, the others were the total opposite. The supervisor and the manager were nice people but everything becomes useless when you cannot survive with the money they pay for the work. The amount of time which takes for a task by the book is one thing and the amount of time that Carter Honda counts for payment is about 10 times less.

Management understands that its biggest asset are its people. This is why we maintain a fun and collaborative atmosphere where everyone is appreciated for their contributions.
Generally laid-back environment for management and employees. we might work in different departments, but we work as one.

Learning curve every day, meeting and talking to all walks of life. Like the daily grind and challenge.Liked the training and team building.Recommend anybody starting their career in auto industry.

Pay is garbage. Management is cheap. For years they have had their entire sales and management team change time and time again because nobody wants to stay there. 

I feel like the entire automotive industry knows already to stay away from this place. 

Good benefits and working environment at a dealership located in the heart of Kitsilano, If you are a team player and willing to learn and master your profession this is the place to be.
