I worked there for five years on site. It progressively got worse through the years. There is favouritism and nepotism with the one supervisor. Keeping parts in stock is nonexistent and takes days to weeks to get parts. The operators and laborers, for the most part are very good but half the management is doesn’t care. If you are not part of the clique, you get treated like dirt.  i’ve watched them, run their best workers into the ground, and do nothing when they quit due to frustration and exhaustion. The people part of the clique it to sit around do nothing all day long and get paid. Most of the equipment is old and worn out, and it’s hard for the mechanics to keep up with the repairs. I have been gone for a bit and would never go back. Bye-bye.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The guys all hard working and skilled workers. And new workers to the industry are trained and helped to better themselves

Long hours and change in job scopes by the clients 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Hard working guys that are always in good spirits on the job. Even clients have commented how much of a joy it is seeing the guys in good spirits every day 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
On site the typical day is a 12 hour shift kept busy you don’t notice the time going

If you have any other option just go with that. Just get away from this company. Specially the branch in ft saskatchewan, AB. People here think they are the coolest in the rig. They will make fun of you in front of all other people and its not even funny so that will make things awkward with other people around you. Jokes about race coz they think they can do coz thats how the rig people talk. The management is just terrible, feels like your working with kindergarten from your supervisor to your leads. If you want to keep your dignity and respect for yourself. This is definitely not the company for you. 

It's a good place to work, decent pay, depending on the projects they have on the go your always busy. Cascade is one of the Mullen group of companies.  If it gets slow at one division  you  can always  go to another division  to get hours.  For the  most parts they keep you busy and your head above water

People are great, but Very poorly maintained equipment, often breaks down. Unless it's new its worn out. Vehicles feel like they going to fall apart if your on the highway. Hard to be trained because every piece of equipment is set up different.  Some front controls work and some don't. Same for rear controls. Good work hone time balance and decent pay.

Some of the people were great to work with but management was about them only

Not having equipment working in a safe way and only Bandaid the units

 Very poor attitude towards employees and customers

In a highly competitive industry this company proves to make its mark. You feel like your part of a team once you start and you notice the pride put in to each job. With a very open team they are able and willing to help you with any questions you may have and make sure the job goes great. Lots of work throughout the year and has a great benifit package for your family with good pay. You wont go wrong working for cascade

Very hard place to fit in. It's run by a couple guys from newfoundland who hire mostly their buddies from back east. It's the only trucking company I've ever seen where truck drivers are supervised by laborers ( bosses kid and buddies from home)

Pay is towards low end of the spectrum.

As Corporate HSE Administrator I was involved in many duties and tasks from the Health and Safety team secretary to uploading documents and information into ISN, ComplyWorks and PICS.  

I would maintain all staff's in house training records and customers orientations.  From answering phones, to making up the monthly safety newsletter there were never dull days.  I enjoyed my job very much,

The employees are great and very team oriented but management is terrible especially upper management they like to keep you hungry and barely making it by they think this will keep you under their thumb while they reap the benefits
