Best advice is to avoid this place. There are no educational standards and little to no real industry relations. it's surprising that PTIB and BC Student Loans still allow students to take out large student loans for this place given how unsuccessful most grads are in actually securing employment. Talk to grads in most programs and they are not working in the field they wanted to be in. If they are lucky enough to find work it is not because of the effort from the school. 
It is a student loan factory - if that kid can secure a loan they will be accepted - will little to no regard given to if that kid has what it takes to be successful. 
If you are thinking of applying here then be ready to leave your dignity and personal values at the door

CATO was and excellent company to work for. The staff (at least those I worked with in 3D animation) is amazing and you can tell they really care about their students. The teaching positions are an excellent opportunity for full-time professionals to invest in aspiring young artists.

Contracted job where I assisted in representing the school as an alumni of two programs at Education Career Fairs across the lower mainland and Vancouver. 
The instructions for each job and the communication between the staff was easy and simple, and it was a great experience.

This employer was a part-time job. It allowed me to teach in the evenings, but the school and the programs were not well researched. The actual program I instructed has since closed and the entire school has shut down as well.

They are great post secondary educational institution. They truly care about design and arts, and having a great foundation for the students to go into the careers in the future.

From the top to the bottom, everything seems like a quick fix bandaid solution in this place. Prepare to work hours you are not compensated for as well as solve problems you weren't hired for.
Finally, you will be turned out when they want to make the classes seem 'fresh' while not really changing anything at all.

Cameras in the classrooms. Strange sense of humour related to surveillance. Higher ups share private information concerning other employees. It is a very unprofessional business climate with behind the scenes discussions and limited support.

The best part of working the last 7 year at CAT is the direct team members I worked alongside each and everyday. You could not have asked for a more dedicated and supportive team.

The school is very diverse and creative but the ownership has some bumps to smooth over. The classes are in three hour blocks and there is lots of hands on learning.

Get ready to wander aimlessly and get scolded for daring to ask questions. Quality education? Forget about it! Sadly, it's the students who pay the price. Save yourself the trouble and steer clear of that place.
