PROS: This was the first company ever to hire me in retail! The wages I received from working helped to pay for my post-secondary education. The management was quite accommodating with my schedule (when I had to reduce hours due to school) and would give me a lot of shifts (when I wanted to work during breaks/holidays). I went quickly from working on the floor to managing the cashier registers (as well) within months! I had many co-workers, who were hard-working, friendly and helpful! I learned a lot more about beauty, retail and health from my experience working here.

CONS: If you work part-time, you don't get benefits. You get minimum wage pay. Some co-workers who are lazy, rude and competitive. The customers can be very rude, passive-aggressive and condescending. 

WORD OF ADVICE: 
1. If you work hard, remain friendly and try to be as helpful as possible, you shouldn't have any issues with the management or co-workers (arrive to work on time, try to reduce the amount of times you call in sick, come back on time from your breaks, try not to go on your breaks late, and actually do your work). 
2. Try to stay out of the drama with co-workers and don't let customers get you out of character, because its not worth losing your job or the effects on your mental health.

If you are passionate about customer service/hair or pursuing a career in those fields then Clorè is the perfect place to work. If you are just looking for a job to pass the time while you are in school or in between jobs then Clorè is great for that too. If you show up and do your job, you never have to worry about being let go. If you are someone who is constantly calling in sick or refusing to do certain things then don't bother applying because you won't be kept as an employee very long. They value hard work and commitment but you're only reward is a Clorè giftcard(I would rather get a cash bonus). Managment could use improving, he doesn't like change and is stuck in his ways, very reluctant to do things differently. Work/life balance is horrible, you can't make plans because most likely you'll be at work unless you're one of the lucky few that get Saturdays off or your shifts are only 5 hours. I do not reccomend working at Clorè because you are paid so little to put up with way too much and work way too hard.

Clore Beauty's Management does not care for the well-being of their employees nor customers. Clore employers care more about making money than doing things the correct and legal way. Clore employers will tarnish your name to make their company look better. In their language they discuss employees and customers in a negative manner. They do not give training for new employees, but issue warning letters of termination if job is done unfit to their standards when the employee was never really trained on the correct policy/procedures. Overall, horrible company. NEVER WORK FOR THEM! ANY OF THE LOCATIONS, BRAMPTON FIRSTLY, SCARBOROUGH, MISSISSAUGA, HAMILTON AND BLOOR WEST! 
GO TO ANY COMPETITION HAIR STORE.. ETC. BEAUTY SUPPLY WEARHOUSE, BEAUTY COLLECTIONS INC., QUEENS BEAUTY TO NAME A FEW.

For the most part, the job was unenjoyable. Management was very inconsiderate and condescending towards there employees. They were very lazy when it came to training and never properly explained how to do the task they wanted you to do. They would do it in front of you not explain how to do it or what not to do and expect you to do it perfectly the next time and get frustrated when you ask them to show you again. They were very lazy when it came to working around schedules and never wanted to accommodate. They never gave the proper breaks needed for employees (30-minute break for an 8 HOUR SHIFT!!!!). I never learned anything new from the other places I have previously worked. The only good part of this job was the customers that came in and the money from the hours I got that's it.

Clore Beauty lacks fair treatment and support from management, especially during customer issues. Workplace responsibilities are not distributed equally, with certain employees receiving more opportunities while speaking exclusively in another language throughout shifts. Hardworking employees face excessive scrutiny, while others receive praise despite contributing less. Pay disparities exist, with some employees earning more despite having less product knowledge. Management also fosters workplace tension rather than unity, creating an unfair and unbalanced work environment.

With working with this company; they are very accommodating to schedules and your overall life goals. if you are a student or a parent they try their best (well the manager at my store location )to accommodate the unpredictable. however no benefits and to improve wage wise is almost non existent.  You are faced with a vast variety of customer personalities that can get over whelming if not at time to much to handle and stay positive. 

Overall I enjoyed working under this locations management.

Management does not care for the well being of their employees. They are unprofessional, they fire women who are pregnant and they also harass their employees. Ever wonder why when you enter the store all the Asians get to wear black shirts & all the black girls have to wear pink shirts? Management has no idea what they are doing and are extremely unprofessional. I would not work here again if I got paid to do so.
I advise you all to support a different beauty supply.

Working at Clore is a good first job if you have 0 experience or a student looking to balance school and work the job itself is pretty easy. You help clients make recommendations based on what they are looking for cash them out 
stock shelves and be of service when needed.

Clore is a very fast paced and hands on environment to work at. A typical day at work would include interacting with customers and organizing inventory. Management for the most part is pretty easy to get along with, they try to understand each employee's need and cater to them accordingly. The hardest part of this job is learning about products in the store since there are so many but the most enjoyable part of this job is working with like minded females in a really fun environment.

-team work is a big thing that this beauty supply does not have 100% of the time
-the hardest part of the job is assisting customers when they don't know what they are looking for and you have to guess what they would want.
-the most enjoyable time at work is hearing a customer thank you and tell you that your doing a good job.
