So this company starts of well, promises you lots of things but rarely comes through.  No benefits, only foreman's get bonuses and the equipment is mediocre at best. They don't like fixing things and most of their highway vehicles shouldn't be allowed to be on the highway. The bosses have favorites and if you're not one you are treated poorly. They keep you at a basic wage and refuse to give any sort of formal training to better yourself, this is done so you cannot ask for a wage increase. They will acknowledge problems while in person but it will never be dealt with once they leave site. Overall lack of care and attention comes from the top and works its way down. I've seen many people who have pride in their work come and go because cobalt won't let them do the job they want because "it takes too long" just rough it in is usually the answer. More time is spent trying to find shortcuts around contract items than just doing it right. This review sounds brutal but others have thr right to know. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
We had good leadership on the project. I would definitely work with them again. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The unpaid time spent traveling back and forth from camp. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Everyone send to enjoy their positions and cared about what the objectives were. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Wake up, eat, work, shower, sleep, not much else to do in camp

I love working for Cobalt, I started off as a flagger, then heavy equipment operator, pilot car driver, and now I am head of safety. They saw my drive for learning new things, my commitment to them, and most of all, my positive attitude. They were always willing to give me bigger, better, opportunities and allowed me to grow. Cobalt is family.

Good pay with camp...normal pace work environment...good crews, not so many big heads...fair and knowledgeable management...never late or mishandled checks...owners keep their word...
Better than average company for sure...hope to come back next year.

Very respectful group of people everyone treated each other as equal's.
Management would help wherever it was needed. Hard work at times but usually with a lot of support.
The food was outstanding! Best from any other camp experience I had.
Atmosphere was great and the rooms were not to bad considering it was a well used camp. 

worked for them twice in 2 years .  was treated excellently by employer and fellow workers compensation for work was par with government highway crews  recommend working for them to friends  work for them again if I was in that location in future

Top notch show , Fantastic owners ,office staff and Supervisors  .They do it all with style , couldn't ask for better .My supervisor was like no other , Best of the Best . He got some real top notch training from the owner .

Cobalt treated me with respect and courtesy at all times. Although it was only a time limited contract I gained valuable experience while earning a solid wage.

The place is great. However your just a number.  The way ownership treats employees is like your expendable and replaceable.  They complain about costs but yet wait 2 days to book your plane ticket home.
