After 1 month the reasons for their insane amount of turnover become clear. They  do no marketing, so they rely on an army of sales reps to spam email and calls until the customer caves in. It's soul-crushing and tedious. Those who can stomach the work and keep at it will eventually inherit paying customers from those who quit, and that's where you can make some good money. My advice is to stay away unless you're desperate. 

Cogent's foundation is built on micro-management and constant pressure. This company is not lead it is managed and sees a lot of good people come and go quickly. It is the norm to have extremely high turn-over and hitting quota is more of a pipe dream than a reality. If you want to be in charge of your book of business and your daily activity, this is not the place for you.

Good reputable telecom company with a lot of growth. Very competitive salesforce and good training during ramp period..uncapped commissions and average base when compared to other segments!

I was very good at my job. Hard to uncover new logos that were not already assigned to someone else. Pressure to go to Legal to fight for ownership of a lead.  Absent Manager. Core few reps, rest are a part of the revolving door in there.  The USA trainers were good and fun. 

Worst work culture ever found, local management does not exist. 
Good salary, good benefits but the toxic environment really kills the benefits!.
Local management enhance the non fair competition talking bad about the high levels and between the workers.

Very good education entry level experience with good management and effective sales and technical support. Poor work environment and stressful sales style. Excellent CRM system to track overall sales initiatives

Superior management but low wages. Very busy for me and very rewarding in job satisfaction. I was paid more due to my qualifications and that rate could not be sustained.

Typical day at work is just calling and calling and e-mailing and e-mailing.
Building walks once a month.
The team itself is dull & boring.
There's a ping pong table at my location.

Worst employer I've ever seen, insane and toxic work environment. A few guys manage everything, the others are valets. You're not expected or authorized to think by yourselves. Don't go there.
