Planned from the night before, I follow the schedule I have made out.  Typically, I allot three times a day for email to pick up and respond.  Usually I am cold calling in the morning to get new leads for appointments either today or tomorrow.  I follow up on my data base sometime in the afternoon. Also, at this time I am working on my business to improve myself and what I have to offer.   My listings are contacted, at a time agreeable to both of us, once a week.  Time, at night is spent either returning calls I missed during the day or cold calling again for more business.  I am always prospecting for new clients as I tap into my network of business .  I find when I plan, I have a plan to succeed and make the most of the day productively.  Since I am self employed, I manage myself and the results.  The co workers, at the office work as a team .  The hardest part of the job is to keep focused all the time, when at work, as there are many ups and downs during the day.  The best part of the job is the freedom to be responsible for yourself.  

The job itself isn't too difficult, nor is it very stimulating. I spend most of my time doing other things as there isn't much work to do, but it depends on the season. Hours are very flexible, but very minimal. The maximum amount of hours for this position is 10-12 hours per week, much less than regular part-time. It isn't easy to get more hours if you want more. For this position, there really isn't much room for advancement either. 
Management is not the best, as issues brought up to them aren't fully resolved. When working here, you need to be comfortable with being alone in the evening and having no one around you, as the location does not have good lighting outside and there are only offices around, so if you work closing shifts, be prepared to be fully alone and comfortable in the dark. 
Public transport is not the most reliable in the area, making it a little challenging to get to as well. 
Overall, it's a decent place if you're looking for an easy job with minimal hours and don't mind the low salary. 

My day at work consists of a very detailed oriented and fast paced environment.  This job has taught me to work in a service friendly environment with many co-workers that I really enjoy. I have learned to prioritize my responsibilities. I enjoy my co-workers and we work well together helping each other when either of us are overwhelmed at times.  My hardest part of the job is at times staying on task with many interruptions. My most enjoyable part of my job is when we can get all conditions met on a purchase for our clients.  Helping them to do this and taking as much stress out of this process as possible for them.  It feels good at the end of the day when you have helped a client buy/sell their home.

Cold calling to obtain listings first priority. Looking up homes for sale and visiting them weekly. The day was varied as real estate is never a typical day. Call people, visit people sell houses. Also, included, speaking with mortgage lenders to obtain mortgages and attend meetings to discuss homes, etc with co-workers.

Management was great. A great deal of support from Roberto. Co-workers were easy to talk to but of course their priority is their business and didn't give that away. 

The hardest part of the job was obtaining homes when the interest rate was at 22% 

The enjoyable part is the people I worked with and met.

The major issue when working here, at least in my role, is the fact the there are basically no benefits and the pay is okay at best. The office culture is not great. No one is ever around, so you spend most of the days just sitting in the office completely alone. There is zero room for growth since there aren't any other positions to move up to, and therefore it's completely pointless and becomes a temporary solution to your professional needs. Also, beware that getting this position also translates to being the personal assistant to the owner, who will ask for outrageous tasks, such as pressure clean his deck. Do not apply to this job unless you absolutely need to.

I loved working with this organization. A varied group of administrative staff, that I really enjoyed interacting with. I had a ton of respect for the owner. Seemed to be a very softspoken, yet wise individual who I felt I was lucky to have had the pleasure of working with.

I learned a lot about the back office portion of the operations of real estate transactions. The toughest part of it, is the quantity of paperwork involved and the requirement of attention to detail. You really want to do a great job, as this is one of the most often largest purchases many will make in their lives.

· Solicit sales listings from prospective vendors
· Assist vendors in selling property by establishing asking price, advertising the property, listing the property with listing services and conducting open houses for prospective buyers
· Assist prospective buyers in selecting, visiting, inspecting and making offers of purchase on real estate properties
· Advise clients on market conditions, prices, mortgages, legal requirements and related matters
· Draw up sales agreements for approval of purchaser and seller

I worked at Coldwell banker for approximately 364 days. They fired me with absolutely no reason, cause or priors. Written or verbal. I excelled in my position and in turn was invalued and dismissed. The ONLY thing about my job that was satisfying were the people I worked with. Not the residents, or Head Office...Which is located at 201 county court boulevard in Brampton, Ontario. I think this company is a poor representation of Coldwell banker and should be addressed as such. Not only am I being wrongfully dismissed but I believe there are many others.

The nicest thing about this job is that you are independent, and are always meeting people and their families. When you can sell their home or find the perfect property for your clients, it gives a realtor a wonderful feeling.

Interaction was great between the co-workers. The hardest part of the job was that it was not a job that provided steady income, even though the monthly cost was still to be paid.

I have enjoyed working with all the people I've met in the Coldwell Banker Preferred Real Estate office.  Management is attentive and the workplace culture, excellent. It takes time to establish oneself as a Realtor. The most difficult part of the job is the hours required in the evenings and weekends when raising a young family.
