I have been working for CTI since 2017 and can honestly say that I can't see myself working anywhere else. If you are someone looking for a flexible working environment and schedule, whilst still having access to so incredibly supportive clinicians, then this is the company for you. 

I have learned a lot from my time at Community Therapists and the variety of contracts ensure that you are never bored and continuing to develop your skills into new areas. 

I have noticed over the years that although some employee's come and go as within any company, it appears that many seem to gravitate back to CTI, and I think that is a testament to the working culture and management support.

I have and continue to recommend Community Therapists as a great company to work for.

I have been working with CTI for the last 13 years and I could say I would like to keep this job until I decide to retire.  Everyday, when I go to visit my clients, it feels like I am going to help one of my friends as I get to know my clients really well, their families, their environment, their daily activities, their culture, and even, I learn new languages.  I also get great support from Community Therapists every time that I need to (but I don't need it frequently as I try to do my best and generally I am able to perform my job duties independently and satisfactorily).   I feel really proud every time I discharge a file.  I would really recommend this job to any body, but specially to people who need a flexible schedule like me.

Community Therapists has an excellent and highly professional practice and mentorship culture . As a sub contractor I feel almost like an employee , I am always supported and never feel isolated . Very strong report review team helps improve my practice constantly . I love the flexibility and variety of clientele . Every day is different , and the flexibility allows me to spend time needed with my family . Many challenging clients , but with the support I have always been able to figure a way through . 

I started working at CTI after moving out from Ontario. I had the opportunity to interview with 4 other companies which provided a similar work environment/caseload. I’m extremely happy with my decision to work at CTI instead of the other companies. Even though I’m an experienced clinician, they were always available to provide me with great support throughout. I have a mentor that I can go to discuss my ideas and caseload. I have a lot of flexibility and I’m never pressured to take more than what I can take. At CTI, staff is really preoccupied with everyone’s overall well being and quality of life. I would recommend it to all my colleagues in a heartbeat!

The support provided by management team is amazing. They are available for meetings, phone calls and emails to provide support for complicated files. There are also monthly team meetings for extra support and to stay up-to-date. Free webinars and education sessions are also provided regularly. Changing from public to private was very smooth because of the great on-boarding provided by the great OTs who are part of the company. To provide support during Covid-19 pandemic, free virtual yoga sessions were organized 2x/week and the OTs are reminded to take care of their mental health as well.

The only people that have been working there for more than a couple of years are the Management. 

You will feel watched and tracked. They have an attendance sheet that management will say "We use this sheet to see who is in the office in case of an emergency." But you will not see any managers on that sheet. 

All the managers are friends with each other, and the HR/HR Manager are friends with the owner of the company. So be careful about "complaining to the HR"

They also like to guilt trip their employees especially when it comes to asking for a raise, or working from home.

Very autonomous and opportunities for self-management and organization. I learned about the role of Occupational Therapists in the community in an insurance provider context. Management is a combination of corporate and very social. Hardest part of the job is the learning curve coming from being a new grad to running your own business essentially with minimal interdisciplinary teamwork opportunities, however, they have a strong mentorship program. Most enjoyable part of the work are the people and positive work culture.

An incredibly supportive place to work! The people at CTI are amazing and genuinely work hard to create a great work environment. They care about the people who work there and many people stay with the company for 5-10 years (or more). There are many socials (pre-COVID), team-building and education opportunities. If you need help, there is always someone to reach out to for assistance. Feedback is provided and efforts rewarded. As an admin staff, I felt appreciated and supported.

A typical day at work includes prescribing exercises for clients, either virtually or in person. Recording each client's progress is required during and after the appointments. Management is quick to respond via email if you have any questions or concerns. The most enjoyable parts of the job are working with great co-workers and seeing clients improve their physical and mental well-being. 

Moving from the public sector in another province to the private sector was a daunting career change made more than possible by the team at Community Therapists. I am surrounded by knowledgeable and supportive colleagues who have a wealth of knowledge I’ve learned from over the years. The leadership team is excellent and have provided me with the skills I need to be a successful therapist in the private sector.  You won’t find a better Rehab company to work for.
