Working here is a genuinely positive experience.  The executive team is approachable, supportive, and truly invested in their employees.  They take the time to listen, provide guidance, and create opportunities for growth and advancement within the company.

The work environment is respectful and team oriented.  People are willing to help each other, and there is a strong sense of accountability and professionalism across the organization.

The pay is great, and employees are recognized for their contributions.  Effort and performance are noticed, and there are real opportunities to build a long term career here.

At times the pace can be busy, but the team works well together and supports each other to keep everything running smoothly.  The work is very manageable and I enjoy my day.

It can get busy at times, especially when demand is high or multiple projects are moving at once, but it keeps things engaging.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
No two days are exactly the same. You’re usually juggling a mix of communication, problem-solving, and project work, with a strong focus on supporting customers and keeping things running smoothly.

Corey Nutrition was a good place to work at one point. You had a good pay, 12 hour shifts 4 days a week and almost always had overtime on your paycheque. It’s since then gone downhill faster than any company I’ve worked for. The management has no clue what goes on inside the mill and bases everything off numbers and statistics, the working conditions are poor at best, and above all else favouritism plays a big role with how far you get. Be aware they have the power to fire you “without cause” or warning even after your probationary period is over, regardless on if you have your initial 3 strikes or not. I’ve never worked at a place with a more dysfunctional management staff who obviously don’t care about the company or employees. If you do decide to apply here, understand you’re a number in their eyes and the moment they don’t like you they’ll drop you. Good luck.

A typical day is showing up to a mess left behind from the previous shifts crew.   I believe I learned that no matter how much someone in a position of power gives orders,  it’ll only be done their way if they actually do the work.  It is a very poorly managed workplace with disregard to safety.  The hardest part of the job was dealing with all the disrespect from the other employees,  the most enjoyable part was leaving. It’s definitely one of the worst places to try and start working with,  especially if you are not buddies with the management team.

Terrible company to work for, they fire their good workers for stupid reasons then keep on the bad unless employees that can't do the work.

Doing all the work because the rest of the crew couldn't keep up.

Terrible. Completely toxic. Coworkers treat you poorly then fire you for calling out toxic coworkers behavior.

Stressful, long, unrealistical expectations from management and the bad workers get away with doing next to nothing

If they don't like you, you won't stay, it's all about favoritism. Old school views, they do not accept any new ideas brought to the table. They constantly have a revolving door and never take responsibility for it. A non friendly culture, management prefers for their employees not to engage with each other and prefers complete silence even when work is complete. Major rodent issue, even with a third party company hired for rodent control, nothing seems to change. Mostly an older crowd working there, as a young professional you will be made to feel less than. 

I've been working at Corey Nutrition for about 4 years and have never been treated unfairly. The company has always given me room to grow/ move up, or even transfer departments to accommodate my skills and life. The pay was fair when I began 4 years ago and has been increased to the point where the starting wages are excellent. Great benefits, including rrsp matching, and most importantly, they have always treated me as an individual and not an employee number. Highly recommend, especially as far as blue collar work in  New Brunswick is concerend.  

Very disappointed. You will either figure the job out by yourself or be gone. Ive never seen managers preach maturity and culture then not practice what they preach. You'd have to experience it to understand what I mean.  So maybe just take my word for it. Stay away! Training is a myth at Corey's. And good luck getting any help from the managers who will not even introduce themselves to you unless you do it. Theu just seem to hide 

I absolutely loved working for Corey feeds. They've treated me very well with my time spent there. There understanding of outside life problems was excellent. Pay was great as well as benefits. Everyone I've worked with as well have been great. Hard work is noticed appreciated An they would make sure you knew it was noticed by paying compliments foward.

Staff constantly complains about being underpaid and are provided with pizza parties instead of raises. No trust within management. Facilities are dirty and infested with rodents. Owner has major sexism issues and only takes men’s ideas into consideration. Sad, really.
